The breakfast was very nice, and the rooms are cozy. The location is great too.
The wireless kept kicking me off and I would have to re-enter the password every 5 minutes.
I had a shared shower and toilet, but I had the impression that I was the only one using it on my floor of about 5 rooms. The room was quiet: I didn't hear much noise from other hotel guests, the elevator or the street. (I was on the second floor, street side). The staff is very friendly and helpful.
A "do not disturb" sign would be nice. I didn't hear the cleaning lady's knock on my door, which was a bit embarrasing for the both of us. Also, breakfast during the weekends isn't until 8 am, so I missed one breakfast because of an early meeting. And the wireless internet is from a T-mobile hotspot, which is 8 euro for an hour according to the portal. It is a very small hotel, so don't check out the very last minute before your train leaves, because in the morning, the receptionist also has to take care of the breakfast for the guests.
very kind staffs, great location, clean room, yummy breakfast
Location, location, location. Our room, on the top floor (1 flight above lift access) was quite roomy, with every basic necessity. Generally basic, but comfortable nonetheless.
The main drawbacks would be noise and I imagine, at certain times, lack of a/C. The noise problem is overcome by closing windows, but that eliminates ventilation. During our stay, though (early October), we were still comfortable overnight.
Although the entrance is almost too small to notice, the hotel has very comfortable rooms and is right in the middle of the town. Parking is very nearby in the Underground park, but exiting in a completely different part of the town's one way system, which caused us problems. It was quiet though central.
Not the hotel's fault but the one way system and pedestrianised centre of town made it very difficult to find one's way round, especially on a very short stay.
Very pleasant room and en suite bathroom. Good pressure in shower, and warm water always available. Good wardrobe space and shelves. Comfortable bed. Very nice buffet breakfast with a good choice of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals etc. Pleasant staff. The location is excellent - literally one minute from the main square on one side and the university on the other. Ideal for business in the university.
The hotel was sometimes too warm (for my liking), requiring me to keep the window open. However, although the street outside is fairly quiet, the traffic noise can wake you up from around 5.00am if the window is open. The simple solution is to close the window if you want to go back to sleep, so it is a minor problem.
They are friendly, and in a central location (the hotel itself isn't terribly picturesque, but is v. close to the Hofgarten park and the Rhine, which are). Only the bathroom let the product down (see below).
The bathroom in our room was not in good order (broken door handle, door did not shut properly!). Noise also seemed to pass pretty easily between rooms. Minibar empty.
Very friendly and helpful staff; great location in the city centre; very little street noise at night; clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms; nice breakfast; fridge with cold drinks in the lobby.
Only one little thing: there was a continuous "whistling" or "peeping" noise coming from the toilet next to our room. This was hardly a problem during the daytime, but was rather annoying at night... (Note to the owners: it might be good to try and fix this... Our room was 3.2, the noise came from the shared toilet on the same floor.)
This was a charming story book hotel It had an "Old World" decor and atmosphere. There was a lot of attention to detail which gave it a personalized touch. The rooms were large as was the bathroom attached They were sunny and pristine. Breakfast looked wonderful but I had to leave before service because of my flight time.
In the review the hotel sounded locked away in a hill however it was a half block from the tram however it was in a "isolated" area Walking down the isolated street and unlocking myself into the hotel made me make sure I returned before dark. If I had not been alone I probably would have been less cautious. There were no immediate attractions in the area eventhough I walked about to find However you can get back into Bonn in 20 minutes on the tram
The staff were extremely friendly with a great hotel location - very central
