Hotel Am Roonplatz

Hotel is very old, which is fine if all other things are in order. First, I faced is cold room, and as receptions is closed at 6pm there was no one to ask about heating. During the weekend it was 8-9c and nigh was very cold. I managed to turn on the heating, guest in the hotel helped me, so I had to chase someone for this in the corridor. Mattress in a bed was like in some pension, uncomfortable. During the night it was very noisy not from the outside, but from the inside of hotel. I could clearly hear conversation in room beside and above. In the morning I found out that in flat above there were 4young womans stayed the night in 2room facility, and obviously they were parting as it was Saturday night. Regarding room - Toilet seat was broken, and each time I would use it, I was moved out the seat by the seat itself. Hairdryer is out of order, as I couldn’t find place to insert and plug, so it can work. No meals are served in the evening, and during my stay, as I am not familiar with neighborhood I rather stay in hotel during evening and night, as I am alone. Reception closes at 6pm… I had booked reservation for this hotel for 4nights, which for me was unbearable to think for 4nights…so I started to find better options in same price range, as overall this hotel is below business travel standards. I managed to cancel 1nigh entirely and had to pay for 3nights.

Room was pretty big, you can walk to city centre. There is a fan in the room for when it’s hot.

Place is a bit old and not well cleaned. There is no elevator.
