mercure bologna excellent stopover for early fligh
very quiet room excellent breakfast choice
located across the street from the bologna centrale train station. was easy to navigate the city from there.
Staff not very friendly. Room was very dark/ dimmly lit/poor lighting. Beds very uncomfortable.
Nice hotel- well located.
Very nice hotel, has everything you need for a city break short stay or weekend getaway. Only 2minutes from the train station and about 15-20mins walk from the heart of the historic centre. The walk itself is fine however as the route takes you past plenty of shops and places to eat. The breakfast was sufficient and varied- plenty to set you up for the day. The room was big and spacious. I would return.
The shower head and screen were poorly fitted and cramped making for a difficult experience!
The rooms overlooking the lovely interior garden are lovely to look at, stroll and just to sit and relax in! The proximity to the train station - just across the street is easy, as is is catching the Euro bus which leaves from the train station (centrale) as do all the busses into the lovely center of the city.
Wish they had a bit more in the way of food at the bar, no restaurant. When you tired from jet lag or early mornings it would be easier and more pleasant to eat a fresh salad for example and sit in the garden with a glass of prosecco - which they do have!
Sound carries from room to room - noisy guests can ruin your sleep.
The Mercure Bologna Centro boasts a strategic location opposite the train station, just 1.9 miles (3 km) from the exhibition center and at the gateway to the historic center, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
