10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about our stay. Great value, clean, clean, clean, perfect breakfast. Loved it!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely landlady, she let me use her garage to park my motorcycle overnight.
Cons: Please note that they do not take any credit cards only cash. This caught me out. I had to ride 3 Miles to a cash machine!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom looked dated but were perfectly maintained and spotless, so lets call it "retro". Kathi was an extremely good hostess. Breakfast was one of the best we've had.
Cons: It's in one of the quieter Mosel towns, with few places to eat and little to do.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very nice and friendly owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kathi is a lovely personable lady who would do anything to make her guests welcome and comfortable. She insisted on us using her secure garage which was much appreciated. Room was spacious and full of character. Breakfast was excellent with both a wide choice and freshly cooked eggs etc. This guesthouse is superbly located in the Mosel valley yet provides both character and exceptional value for money
Cons: Having to leave after only one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is completely amazing and we had a very comfortable stay. It’s a little bit as if you went to visit a sweet family member who takes care of you and makes you feel at home. Great value for money!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: S.A. Prim makes wonderful rieslings. Complimentary bottle of wine was excellent. Opportunity to purchase more and other wines at good value was great. Breakfast and courtyard/terrace were great.
Cons: On the last morning, unfortunately helicopters were spraying vineyards on other side of river, but they were very loud and started early. We were unlucky on that day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, picturesque and quite location just a minutes away from town. Breakfast on the terrace by Mosel river makes your day! Family Prüm, hosts and owners, made our stay just super and tasting of elegant Prüm wines with Raimund was unforgettable, one of the best we ever had.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view of the Mosel from the front porch of the old building where breakfast is served.
Cons: The hotel rooms are not in the lovely old building that faces the Mosel. Instead, they are in a more modern, separate, structure that is behind the main building. Our room's view of the river was blocked by an overgrown bush and tree. The staff, while polite, never made you feel like they were glad to have you as a guest. They went home at 5:30 pm and if they were there in the morning in the office adjacent to the rooms, they kept their backs to you most of the time. I wouldn't stay there again though I think their location is marvelous though miles from Bernkastel itself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Being at a quiet individual winery. Having the chance to meet the owner, and or the wine maker.
Cons: It is quiet and you are at an individual winery. If that is not what you want, if you want to be in a village. This is not for you
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just a wonderful place with the nicest staff and beautiful soroundings. And our dog was just as welcome as we were.
Cons: There was no real air condition, and with 40 degrees C outside you need an AC.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, comfortable rooms , good breakfast. Solid wine selection. Friendly staff and owner . Clean and nice place for this money.
Cons: A bit lacking air in the room. Pillows would be nice to have more comfortable . We had to ask to change our towels .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room. We liked walking along the river. Lots of great wineries for tastings!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff. Lots of care taken to meet high level of comfort. Excellent room, lots of space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great, just what we needed for our break.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay at the winery. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety of options. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We found all staff members friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a wine tasting with Saskia as well as meeting her father, Raimund. We were able to rent bicycles in town very affordably which added to our trip. You will need to drive or cycle (only a few kilometers) to a neighboring town for dinner as there are very few choices near the winery. All in all, a great place to relax!
6.7 Good
Pros: Extremely spacious, well appointed, comfortable rooms.
Cons: Breakfast could have had both greater variety and quantities.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was great. Being almost of the river with picturesque villages surrounding it
Cons: The owner was not very friendly and breakdowns in service (TV and Internet) were not attended to before we left.
7.0 Good
Pros: spacious, bright room, with Danish influence in design; lovely location along the Mosel river; breakfast was ok, although it could use more variety; very efficient staff; good starting point to visit around (Burg Thurant was a charming and less touristic experience).
Cons: pillows; internet access
6.0 Good
Pros: Charming little property with large rooms. Nice breakfast spread. No kettle in room but provided on request. Would stay here again if returning to area.
Cons: Internet access, and a self-serve laundry would be nice. No air-conditioning, so may not be appropriate in summer (was fine for October though).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms, the location of the hotel, and the guest services
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything - the quality of the fittings, the huge bed, the bathroom, the size of the room, the warmth etc etc. And the breakfast was excellent too.
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: peaceful and very beautiful location, wonderful, big rooms
Cons: no
7.2 Good
Pros: The Manager was very friendly and cheerful. The surroundings are stunning as is the building.
Cons: Could do with a few signposts around the place directing us where to go - we went to a few places before finally finding Reception via the back door. Although we had been told where to go for breakfast, again, we had to ask how to access it. Just a few clear signposts would have helped. Other than that, couldn't fault it and would highly recommend it and come back again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very large and comfortaable room
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for a trip up the Mosel valley and the hotel was excellent. Just wish we had more time on the trip to linger.

Hotel Doctor Weinstube - Bernkastel-Kues - Building
3
9.0 Excellent (809 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Bernkastel-Kues, Hotel Doctor Weinstube is in the historical district, within a 15-minute walk of Landshut Castle and Winery Dr. Loosen. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was close to the water and staff was friendly.
Cons: Rooms were too small for the amount of money we paid. No real air flow and on a noisy side street
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Characterful building great location
Cons: Breakfast was poor
6.3 Good
Cons: Very warm room and the discount ticket the hotel gave you when checking, that you had to pay 6 Euro for when checking out. It was in fact a city tax.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in old town! Loved the historic architecture!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. They ensured we had all of the information needed. The restaurant was also excellent for dinner and breakfast. The room was comfortable with enough room and we slept well on the bed. The pillows were big and soft. The bathroom was also spacious. We were pleased to see a renovated room with modern style and furniture.
Cons: The only thing we did not like was the lack of air conditioning. However, it wasn't really needed with the cooler temperatures. Also, keep in mind that air conditioning is not common in Germany and especially in this region and in this type of hotel. In no way did it make the experience less enjoyable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel in the great location and even with elevator. We parked by the river, hotel was 5 mins walk from there, so parking was not an issue. Breakfast was OK, we did not have a chance to try dinner.
Cons: The biggest inconvenience - Wi-Fi did not work in the room. I usually have to work in the evenings, so I had to come down to be able to connect to the Internet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Handsome room. Fan in room appreciated greatly.
Cons: Being told we had to leave terrace below rooms at 22:00. Hot night to go to our room so soon after dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food great. Staff friendly and helpful. Stay wonderful. Also have lift, so no stairs at least to our room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Extremely unique/historical building added to the charm.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very fine location in the centre of the old town. Very nice internal decoration in the reception and the restaurant. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Everything was very fine except that you have to park on the parking lot near the river (100 m and carry your luggage) and that the stairs are difficult from 4th to 5th floor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and breakfast.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Food, location
Cons: Stairs a bit tricky, no tea/coffee making facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This accommodation delighted us. We selected it because a previous review had mentioned bike storage. The instructions for the key and our room were exact. Bikes stored in an amazing cave and our 'room' was actually 3: large bedroom, lounge and excellent shower room. All were spotless and modern. Our rooms were at the back of the building and therefore against the hill behind. There was no view but a tiny outside seating area which was almost part of the rock. The location in the old town was very convenient and quiet. Breakfast selection was comprehensive. Would definitely return and recommend.
Cons: No dislikes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, caroark was nearbt, very clean and quiet, perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and size of room. Very nice staff.
Cons: Our bikes and gear became wet in the storage room .
7.1 Good
Pros: The location of the Gästehaus is excellent. Big rooms and big bathroom. Rooms are very clean. Parking was available, although located a couple of 100 meters from the Gästehaus.
Cons: No A/C nor a fan in the room. Rooms very basic and no charm at all. Breakfast is way under "normal standard" for Germany. Breakfast bread probably from Aldi or Lidl ? Youghurt selection poor and the "fresh bananas" were brown.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Terrific location
Cons: Stairs
5.0 Okay
Cons: Room very gloomy, a weird dark lounge area outside bathroom. Random uncomfortable table and chairs in bedroom area. Like staying in a house of someone who had moved out and taken their furniture with them.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect for our 4 nights there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great pension. Cleanest room I have find in my travel trough the Mosel. Best mattress and best coffee... and a delicoius breakfast with hausmade mermelade. They are really nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about my stay. I prefer staying at guest houses where I can meet and talk to those running them. It was really good at Moselblümchen - there was a lively sense of humour, the breakfasts were great and the home made jams were brilliant.
Cons: I liked everything and the whole experience was very enjoyable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The personal is friendly, helpful, funny and seems like they do like what they do here. The room (8) is not the most fashionable one, but it’s all along clean and functional. The bed is comfy and the breakfast is very well and unsurprisingly not vegan-friendly. The location is perfect for any trekking or biking plan.
Cons: No double bed. No fresh fruit on breakfast. And coffee is too much roasted, definitely not the best quality.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was a lovely hotel, the rooms have been refurbished and are quite modern. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We also ate at the hotel restaurant one night and the food was good, typical german dishes. The wine they served was good and location was also great, it a short walk over the river to get to the old town.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! What a great place... I’ve stayed in some great hotels over the years and this is right up there with the best. The staff, decor and rooms are excellent. The evening meal served in a lovely courtyard was superb and the locally produced wine is a must. Parking was easy behind the hotel. The breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety of meats, fruit and pastries.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, nice room and bathroom. Superb breakfast with nice cheese and meats. Importantly private parking there as everything is within walking distance
Cons: Nothing It’s not a complaint but a slight warning. The restaurant is separate from the hotel but we didn’t realise that, so after the meal we went for a walk thinking it went on the room. They were really nice about it though when I paid. Having said that the meal was one of the nicest we had on holiday
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Quiet location even though close to centre of town. Nice restaurant. Good parking lot.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The lady at the reception was very helpful
Cons: They don’t provide breakfast before 8 o’clock If traveling to Hahn airport just travel from main Frankfurt city with a bus instead of spending a night in this town as there are no buses to go to Hahn airport only taxis which costs around 90 euros. It also takes hours by train to come to this city
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I like everything! Excellent location, very friendly people working there, perfect breakfast, clean room, parking facility...
Cons: I missed at least some channels on TV speaking other language than German :-) and menu in restaurant also translated at least to English. ...

9.2 Excellent
Pros: A great location to stay at when in Zeltingen. The room was nice and cool even though this was in the middle of the European heatwave of the summer of 2019 (it was 30-35 degrees celcius outside and it had been like that for weeks). Next door is the legendary Zeltinger Hof restaurant with its 150 different wines per glass and almost 100-page wine list (most of which is local German riesling, yay!).
5.4 Okay

Cons: The hotel is quite old and needs renovation

7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, great location, and ample room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of delicious options, fresh juice and made to order eggs. The apartment was spacious and had great views.
Cons: When we arrived the apartment was all closed up and very hot. The air was not moving and the top floor was so hot we were not able to sleep there so we slept on the floor in the living room. We had to go and get another fan from the office and even then no one slept well due to the heat. It was the hottest day of the year but there was nothing done to accomodate this and we had a very difficult night. When I let the office manager know that he might want to warn the next guests or get them an extra fan he told me it was because I was American. I have actually lived in Germany for 6 years with no air conditioning and travelled extensively to third world countries where there was no aircon. I have never been so disappointed in a place. I imagine at other times of the year it is absolutely a wonderful experience to stay there but not when we did.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a special breakfast that is very good - lovely meats and make your own muesli among the usual German breakfast treats. Bed and bedding is comfy and the room was quiet. The village is beautiful and a classic Mosel wine village. The restaurant is very good and wine selection s amazing. the owner is engaged in all activities and checked us in. The room in the main building was larger than expected. The hotel is in multiple buildings around town, but all within walking distance of each other. Parking is available but spread around - be sure to check the parking map on the web site before arrival.
Cons: No elevator, so be ready for the stairs, which is no problem with normal luggage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. The views lovely and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was first class.
Cons: Parking - not very close and if not available you have to use the public car park quite a distance away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast and there was a good menu to choose from. The staff were friendly and the room was large as was the bathroom which contained a bath and separate shower.
Cons: The view from the balcony was a small side street

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast buffer. Wonderful room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Lovely beer garden and restaurant even if a little pricey for the area.
Cons: Parking is a bit of an issue but was able to use the public parking by the river. Only a 100 m walk from there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in the middle of a lovely little town. Hotel rooms located in a variety of annexes and our room, with its own patio, was a couple of minutes walk away from the main hotel. Good, secure facilities for bike storage. Amazing spread at breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine. Nice rooms, nice hotel, good selection on the breakfast buffet.
Cons: One would expect a bit more interest in the guest when checking in. How was your trip? Reason of your visit? Would you like me to book a table in our restaurant?

Cons: Next time a longer stay
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, cheap parking €5 for 3 days, location.
Cons: No air conditioning. Floor creaked badly. Missing lat in the bed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good clean room so well located :)
Cons: Maybe the fact that they put your roomnumber on the table int the breakfast. You can end up in the bakery, but that is just a minor issue :)
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The Breakfast was miserable. We had to sit at a table with no comfort right next to the buffet in a very hot corner. It was in a cafe with very bad service and a lusy breakfast with old bread. There was no aircondition in the hotel and the room was so hot, that it wasn' t possible to sleep - It was like an oven. You couldn' t open the window because there was a very traffic road downunder. The refrigerator did not work and there was no electric kettle. The hotel was next to a building ground and the end of the building was under repair. This hotel is without any charm and i will never come back again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were a group, very great staff. Had a room for 3, but the person to stay in the third bed did not like it and we could easily change it to a double and a single room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this hotel from the lovely owners, location, view, large updated bathroom, and the AMAZING daily breakfast served buffet style. The room was very well thought out and comfortable and even had a balcony overlooking the Mosel. I hope I'll have the opportunity to stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine. A plus was the fact that the breakfast place also was available in the day for other meals.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room overlooking the Mosel River
Cons: Mixed feelings about the staff. Gentleman who booked us in told us to come back in 2 hours an hour after check in and didn’t book us in For breakfast. Lady on duty when we can back saw we were Checked I. And didn’t understand why we had no key she was lovely despite our language difficulties. My guess is the chap who “booked” us I. Was going off duty and could not be bothered. Otherwise lovely stay

Pros: It was a nice well appointed twin bed room but it was not in the main hotel building.
Cons: We arrived at the hotel at the stated time but had to phone a number when someone came in a car and asked us to follow them to the accommodation.Next morning we had to drive back to the hotel for breakfast. Also, the hotel restaurant was closed at the time of our visit.

Pros: Great location. Great value.
Cons: On warm days make sure to bring a fan with you.

Pros: Close to the river. The dinner in the restaurant of the hotel was good. In the night it was very quiet, because there were no guests on the terass. You can make the bedroom totaly dark.

6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was really nice.
Cons: Our room was in a different building, and was on the ground floor (there was only 1 floor) with windows facing directly to the street, so there was no privacy unless we kept the curtain drawn. Let alone it was a very hot August.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay at this cute little place. The owners were very friendly and attentive and the food was superb, especially the breakfasts....so good. Room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. There was a carpark too which was handy.
Cons: We didn't realise the reception was closed on Wednesday and no mention on Booking.com....which lots of places are closed on Wednesday in Germany as we found out. Lucky we had a phone as one simple call and the owner arrived and checked us in no problem. Wifi signal was very weak in our room, but we were near the top floor and these places are old with thick walls.

7.9 Good
Pros: We appreciated most the comfort of the beds and the jacuzzi in the room.
Cons: The breakfast is ok, but nothing special for such a pricey 4-star hotel. The fact that there is no reception after 18:00 is quite a joke really.

6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Hot and cold food available.
Cons: Despite having a restaurant we were unable to have dinner there. The reception staff were unhelpful and unapologetic, and the only recommendations for outside eating opportunities came from two waiters in the dining room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool Breakfast Situation
Cons: No Air condition, no fan No fridge
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good Breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was fine if a little dated, but the food in the restaurant was great! The staff were terrific and our stay was very pleasant.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. Wifi worked good.
Cons: The hotel needs renovation work inside and out. It is very obvious. This is not acceptable. After Googling info about the hotel it has money problems. One can see this. We arrived around 19:00 and we referred to eat else where because you needed a reservation to eat in the restaurant. Part of the reason we booked this room is it had an onsite restaurant. This was not explained on the website. There was no fridge or ironing board. The balcony had weeds growing in it and the grounds looked terrible. No reason to sit on the balcony. All you could see was the building had aged with no upkeep and the same with the grounds. The shower and the sink from the first use were backed up.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Pool and sauna facilities are good
Cons: Outdated property
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: There were spider nets in the room. What else can I say...
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean on the whole, great breakfast. Friendly Staff.
Cons: The hotel needs a refresh, its a bit dated...but, you have to be honest with yourself when booking, its not hidden from view AND is reflected in the price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Included breakfast was great. Lots of parking. Location is a bit of a drive from the main town - but scenic.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: WiFi was good and fast. Breakfast was ok if you could get a table but there are not enough tables for guests in busy periods. Pool was refreshing after a warm day but the walls and amenities are old and run down.
Cons: The hotel is old and run down - the rooms are tired and the windows and veranda door were falling apart. The room next door was completely empty and there were wasps constantly flying in the holes in the windows I suspect they had a nest in the empty room. Hotel wouldnt accommodate us for evening meal because we had not booked half board. Hotel is a good 1.5 Km from town and the walk is difficult terrain. No fan available in room and it was very hot during our stay. No much English spoken so no good for international travellers. No safe in room.
