A boutique hotel with a lot of care in all small details with a nice and laid back atmosphere
Great design hotel in West Berlin with excellent public transport links to all parts of this fascinating city. Enjoyed a really warm welcome ( and a cold beer! ) from the staff on our arrival and recommendations regarding local exhibitions etc. were spot on. Burgers are very good too!
Very small strange room, not clean, everything feels old. So expensive hotel, very disappointed
Staff were incredibly helpful and bed was extremely comfortable.
Room was a little small, okay for short stays but would be difficult for anything longer.
Staff were fab, breakfast was great, the common spaces were wonderful, and the food from the restaurant is really good.
The bed was incredibly lumpy and the atmospheric lighting in the bathroom is a pain--it's impossible to put on make up in there. You can't see anything! The shower wasn't great.
Sir Savigny is a 44-room luxury urban retreat built in 1893 is characterized by cool metals, cozy calfskins, and wood, while Art Nouveau elements complement mid-century modern details. Here, the cutting-edge and the traditional augment each other in the wondrous room designs of Saar Zafrir from Amsterdam, whose tell-it-like-it-is mantra—“Creativity is intelligence having fun”—brilliantly captures two key elements reigning at this Kantstrasse retreat: ingenious imagination and the enticement of pleasure. Indeed, that pleasure unfolds liberally on the ground floor, which is sleekly designed by Baranowitz + Kronenberg and includes Sir Savigny’s burger bar, The Butcher, which presents drinks and perfect burgers made from Scottish Aberdeen Angus beef; at the hotel’s beguiling bar; and at the garden, a private green oasis in the middle of Charlottenburg for the enjoyment of hotel guests and Berlin locals.
