The Park Hyatt Beijing is a pretty typical high-end hotel with great facilities and incredibly helpful staff. The pool area and gym are especially clean and tidy with epic views of the Beijing high-rises. We stayed in a King Corner room which was a little more expensive because of the views on two sides of the room but to be honest I would have been just as happy in one of the other rooms with a single facade of windows (one of our friends stayed in one of these). The room had the usual amenities like toiletries and dressing gowns with the added bonus of a bidet toilet with a heated seat (my first time, thought it was awesome!). The movie selection was also very good and the WiFi was pretty quick. We also spent the evening in the hotel bar (China Bar) and watched the resident musician Daniel Park play for about 4 hours! He was great and the bar had some awesome views although it was a little pricey (100RMB for a beer).
I have a few suggestions for the hotel which didn't really affect our enjoyment of the stay but could be considered. 1. As soon as we arrived we were told we should pay extra so we could check in early, now I don't have an issue with this but after I declined they checked us in early anyway so I felt a bit cheated considering I'd already booked a room. 2. There are no places to sit whilst you're being checked-in, the check-in was quick but my partner went to sit down in the seating area next to the check-in desk and was told she would have to buy a drink or food to sit there. After a long journey of travel to the hotel somewhere to rest for a bit would be ideal. 3. Some of the staff on the breakfast stalls weren't very helpful and didn't serve me even though I was standing waiting to order. I had to order from the waitress which was fine but I feel they should be a little more attentive.
The hotel itself is wonderful. The architecture and interior decoration are at "Park Hyatt" standard. The rooms are very well thought. Convenient and pretty. The pool is magnificent ! The views are also among the best in Beijing !
The staff is a disaster. 1. I checked in at 7 completely jet lagged. As I started sleeping finally they called me because they "did not scan my passport correctly". I could only sleep 2 hours for the night after that.... Then most staff (outside the reception) do not speak English. And with only 2 hours of sleep that create a lot of frustration.
Good location & good service.
Didn't have halal food as we are Muslims. Didnt have good translater as we do not understand mandarin.
The view was great. Bed was very comfy.
Shower room was partially separated from the room so it got pretty cold when the water was not running. Staff was a bit cold though helpful. Stay during renovation. Very inconvenient to get to the room from ground floor. Towel felt old (tagged 2016) and not white.
In the heart of Beijing's central Business District, directly opposite the China World Trade Centre, located in the prestigious Bejing Yintai Centre on the famous Chang An Avenue. Encompassing the view of capital city. Effective 22 July 2018 until end of Ecember 2018, hotel will commence works on upgrading the hotel Lobby and The Lounge on Level 63 as well as The Boardrooms on Level 62, to ensure a comfortable check-in.
