Clean and comfy room. Good wifi. Fair location, far from the city centre but fairly convenient to travel via public transport. Night shift receptionist *Andy was friendly and helpful.
Although the price breakdown shown on booking.com had already included taxes (VAT and city tax) and charges, the early morning receptionist charged us another €10.89 city tax by cash just before we boarded the taxi, not to mention that the total price paid by card at the hotel during check in had included a 2% mark-up over the wholesale rate.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Andy who is half Scottish. We were greeted with a glass of cava, and there was wine, tea and coffee for guests in the lounge, as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The room was comfortable, and bathroom had a large walk in shower that worked really well.
Everything was generally excellent. The only slightly negative point was that one of the walls of the bedroom looked like it had had something splashed on it and not wiped off. However, I am not sure if this was the case because it was a shiny material within ingrained patterned and it could possible have been part of the pattern.
Quiet convenient location. Very clean and modern inside. Complimentary tea, coffee, etc in Reception Room.
The fact that there weren't any toiletries in the bathroom: no conditioner, no lotion, no ear swabs. Also the desk felt crowded with all the coffee/tea stuff.
Nice staff, good facilities. The location is amazing. Sarria neighborhood is one of the best locations you can get in Barcelona.
Some of the products in the mini-bar and in the fridge were expired. There were some footwear traces on the white wall of our room, like somebody stepped on the wall (I know, weird). The room was a bit smaller than I expected from a 4* hotel, but that wasn't a big problem as I am used to travel to 3* hotels most of the time.
