Very nice staff, cool old villa
Room smelled damp on the check-in
Actually it is mainly a restaurant with 3 hotel rooms on the 2nd floor. Just love the decoration and settings from the entrance to the rooms upstairs. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The room is big and well prepared welcoming refreshments. Also the balcony is very spacious and cozy. You may choose the what kind of breakfast you would like on each morning which are all very delicious. I bet the cuisine in its own restaurant must be stunning too.
The location is a bit out of downtown and we have to use Grab to call cars every day. Even though there are always many taxis and tuktuk parking across the street, they will overcharge or even refuse to take you. As foreign tourists, better to use Grab or Uber which is more secure and convenient. Plus, it’s near a very old-fashioned train station, so you may hear the nostalgia train whistle.
Very charming and tastefully decorated, whilst keeping the heritage style building in tact. Food was delicious although a bit expensive for Bangkok standards. Loved the coconut scented toiletries!
Food was a bit expensive. Would bring the hotel to another level if there was a nice little plunge pool. Location was local which was nice, however a bit far from the city.
This hotel is a unique combination of boutique hotel and a special restaurant. The hotel is small and the theme - old style colonial times - is very cute and neatly worked out throughout the hotel. The fact that it is very near to a train station, which in Thailand gives you certain "old style train sounds" (sounds resembling a whistle of a steam train?) adds to the feeling. But what I liked most is the restaurant in which they serve Thai dishes from back in the old days. Very nice food with very original tastes and nice presentation. The restaurant is very unpretentious (hotel reception is in the dining room which feels a bit strange) and the restaurant staff may seem a bit inexperienced but all together, I just love the combination of good restaurant and nice small size boutique hotel and I think it is quite rare in Bangkok/Thailand. It's a bit out of the way from Bangkok city centre but could be an ideal stop on the way to Ayutthaya by train.
Nothing that the hotel can do about but be aware that it is close to a train station with its accompanying sounds
Loved everything about this stay. Attentive staff, beautiful decor, quiet, and great food
