This hotel is closed. Was not able to contact anyone. Had to scramble and find snother place to stay

Pros:The location.
Cons:This is a hotel from a nightmare. The first thing you'll notice is the stench of cigarette. It is overwhelming, and Im a smoker. I just never some inside. When we asked if we could be moved to another nonsmoking room, the guy in the reception area mentioned that the hotel previous management allowed smoking in all rooms. Strange, as I hung up, I noticed the ashtray next to the T.V. Bring your flip flops, your feet are going to fall off if you walk barefoot on these floors. The bathroom, I'm going to let you discover that on your own. Once you had enough and are ready to run, make sure your car is still there. It is not a safe area, and don't drop the keys. All an all, La Quinta ... you should be ashamed of owning a property like this one.
Pros:The bathroom was surprisingly big. The king bed was a good size and comfortable. We were there for 3 days, 2 nights. I would stay there again. Great location, just 10 mins from 6th st and the state capitol. I would suggest buying the rooms from a website like kayak or priceline, etc, because you get a better deal. Their room rates change daily, just like all the other hotels, but it's significant. I paid a lil over 100.00 and they told the guest before us their daily rate was 75.00 bucks! They had some good movie channels, too. And no bed bugs which is a plus. If u just walk in, I suggest using your credit card or cash because they put a big hold on your debit card.
Cons:As soon as you get in your room CHECK YOUR WINDOW TO MAKE SURE IT IS LOCKED!!! Ours was not and we took a nap not knowing that. This room did not have a refrigerator and we didn't have anywhere to store our beer. The rooms are somewhat small but it has a table that's a good size. The cleaning lady came by and knocked and we told her to come back lady and she still attempted to come in, I believe it was due to a language barrier which is understandable.
Pros:Location was close to downtown locations.
Cons:Address takes you to wrong location. It is next to rundown/closed buildings that makes you feel not safe. No refrigerator and bathroom was poor. Staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast was poor selection with horrible coffee (kept half and half out of fridge). No ice machine.
Pros:Absolutely nothing. It was so disgusting, almost unbearable to be in. The floor was not vacuumed. We found toe nail clippings on the floor. The room smelled like mold, which we found on the ceiling. It was the most expensive room we had on our trip, yet the worst room of all of them.

Cons:Everything. Didn't feel safe, worried my car was going to be gone the next day, bathrooms weren't very clean
Pros:The room was large, specially the bathroom. Comfortable, well appointed and quiet. I was at a conference across the highway at another hotel and my room was half the price of theirs and much nicer.
Cons:Needs more signage. It was hard to see it. The breakfast selection was mediocre at best.
