One day layover in Auckland
We ate at Hectors Restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast the next morning. The quality of the food was excellent although pricey for the size of the portions. Were look for vegan options and were not disappointed. Be sure to ask for the separate vegan menu as it contains more options than the regular menu. The service staff was excellent as well.
We thought we had reserved a room in the older hotel wing, but instead ended up in the newer tower side. That side of the establishment was showing noticeable signs of wear. The restaurant was in the older complex and our room safe was not operational.
Older hotel in great shape, not glitzy, The lamb dishes in the restaurant were excellent, the staff bent over backwards to make the stay perfect.
Great location, roof top pool lovely, very good br
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the location and facilities were great and the restaurant had a very good buffet and menu breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
What's not to like?
Late check out just for asking. Very helpful concierge service. Employee walking inside saw our taxi and grabbed our bag taking it to the front desk. Excellent pool and exercise facilities on roof top. Hector's restaurant in huge atrium very pleasant. Two queen beds separated by sliding privacy divider. Large bathroom with separate shower and tub, double sinks.
It was great.
Had plumbing issue initially which was handled very well. My wife and I were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful harbor view. The staff was exceptionally professional and courteous through it all.
