Pillow was very uncomfortable. It was far too soft. Stacking did not help. I woke daily with pain my neck.

Good could be better
Location and budget price for the week I stayed. Staff was excellent and airport shuttle runs 24 hours.
Needs updates and working equipment. Carpet frayed by door in my room and mattress sagged. Gym equipment controls were broken.
The room was fairly priced. Some of the staff members are very professional. I was assigned a room that met my pre-check requirements.
There was a brown stain in the white shower curtain. Some of the staff members are not courteous. They don't greet the guests.
New hotel in fantastic location
In the heart of the revitalized Shirlington area; the hotel has a dozen restaurants within 2 blocks, a movie theater, a live theatre, and a grocery store all within one block. It's quiet and the parking is free.
Nothing. Really. An outstanding deal; I'll be back. If you want to nitpick, you could say that there's no metro but the bus plaza in Shirlington will allow you to take a bus to the Pentagon metro all hours of the day. I didn't try the hotel shuttle but understand it takes requests.
A few years back, I stayed at a nearby Hilton and had the worst experience that I had ever had at a hotel. The staff was rude and unconcerned about wrong accommodations and thefts that had occurred from my room. Naturally, I was reluctant to try another Hilton, but the price was right so I reserved a room at the Shirlington Hilton Garden Inn. As bad as the previous experience was, my most recent experience was at the totally opposite end of the hotel experience. The staff could not be any more accommodating and helpful. Everything was as it was supposed to be. The room was immaculate. On a scale of one to ten, this experience was definitely a ten. I will return to that hotel whenever I am in Washington DC.
