Proximity to DC
Everything. It was extremely expensive. Rooms were dirty, cigarette burns all over the room, wars of hair in shower and on walls, vents filled with trash and dirt.

The thermostat in our room did not work properly and the appliances were all unplugged or not working when we came into the room, including the mini fridge which leaked onto the floor.

I stay at Days Inns frequently. This was a big disappointment. I asked for a 2nd story room since I'm a female with my young daughter and was quickly told "No". I've never been told "no" before so I was quite surprised, but went ahead and took the room. There was black mold on the A/C unit & the unit was missing the temperature control knob, so it couldn't be adjusted. A big spider was hanging in the closet & the closet door could not be closed. This place is very noisy. You can hear your neighbors as if they are in the room. Cigarette butts all over the sidewalk and parking lot next to the rooms. Room appeared dirty with stains on carpet and quilts. Dirty or stained wallpaper pealing off the walls. Mold in shower. Light in room did not work. Breakfast is toast, English muffin, hard boiled egg, plain donut, yogurt, apple or cereal. Nothing healthy. Juice tasted expired. I have pictures if KAYAK would like to see them. This hotel should not be an option!
No wifi, no clean ,
The shuttle service was a plus. Makes the trip to and from DC Downtown very manageable. The last pickup/drop-off at 8 PM however should be extended till at least 10 PM.
The internet connection was terrible. The linen needs a revamp and the bathrooms are dated.
This hotel needs to be demolished. Rats the size of squirrels at the lobby entrance. Mold in the rooms. Room smelled like cat urine. Pealing paint in the rooms. Serious health concerns.

Towels all kept disappearing, so we had to keep asking the front desk for more, and there were restrictions on that. Also, no orange juice during breakfast? I found that to be odd.
Price was good and location was great.
The hotel was very outdated, cleanliness was fair at best, ac did not work, and the bed was completely uncomfortable. I am never going to stay there again and would not recommend anyone too stay either.
In an effort to provide a fair and complete review, I’ll start with the positives. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is reasonably clean and the bed was moderately comfortable…it is about average compared to other Days Inns I have stayed in.
The big problem with my stay, as indicated in the title, is that I was bitten by bed bugs. Big, itchy bites on my arm, neck and legs…10 bites total. It is difficult to prove, unequivocally, that I got the bites there, but my arm started itching right when I woke up that morning. I called the hotel multiple times before receiving a call back from the manager, who said that they had inspected the room and didn’t find any bugs… bites on my arm, neck and legs suggest otherwise. I will definitely not stay there again and will probably steer clear of any Days Inn in the future.
