Bathroom was tidy and the location is fairly close to the action yet completely isolated from the loud music and traffic. No tip-hungry luggage boy, just carry your bags into your room by yourself. Sincerely there is nothing else to appreciate about this place.
Since there is a noisy construction site literally next door, you'd expect the staff to have the decency to let you sleep through the short night before the construction starts at 8 am. Yet this oblivious night shift girl, at 2 am, turned on the lobby's TV on very loud as well as entertaining herself with video calls to her friends. At least she turned the TV off once I complained and angrily told her to STFU, yet the video calls persisted. Description claims "soundproofed" rooms but this claim is absolute bull. There is zero insulation even inside the hotel. Every whisper from the lobby is carried to your room (in the lower floors), and if there are noisy guests coming in, for the lack of an elevator they will be climbing the stairs and surely cause additional disturbance. Tiling on the floor in my room was shoddy, one of the tiles was already broken, revealing sharp edges, while another was moving under my feet. There is little to no natural light in the standard rooms as there is another building being constructed about 2 m off the window. The A/C unit remote was junk, it has really hard to even have the A/C turned on/off. Temperature controls didn't seem to work or this unit just functions completely different to any other unit I've experienced in my life. The bed was cheap junk, cheapest I've ever found in a hotel room, and the "blanket" was a plasticcy thin sheet, obviously very cheap as well. It made me feel like in a cheap short-time hotel, not a proper hotel room. There was a catalogue for adult toys in the room, so maybe they should just rebrand as a love hotel altogether.
- Location is super great, 2 min walk to Fields Avenue, 10 min to the mall and transport hub - Big balcony with a table and chairs in the room - Big mirror on the wall - Payment process was simple, no hidden taxes, no deposits - They also offer other services, like laundry, photo copy etc.
- WiFi could be better - No elevator - Air conditioner was always cold, no matter which temperature I setup
Everything for the money, it's a nice place.
