Pros: From the moment we arrived on the Island of Capri, the staff of Caesar Augustus were kind, informative and proactive in making our stay as wonderful as possible. It clearly starts at the top with Francesco and the Signorini family, who so kindly and comfortably greeted us at the property upon our arrival and were always inquiring as to the service levels and happiness of our stay. Beyond the staff, words can’t possibly describe how beautiful the property, grounds and views are. Life’s all about experiences and the best experiences are the indescribable ones for which the only explanation to others who were unable to experience it is - “We never wanted it to end” - Caesar Augustus delivered one of those rare moments in life.

Pros: This hotel came highly recommended from a couple that I met whilst vacationing in the Greek islands. It did not disappoint.
The rooms are very well appointed. The views from the terrace and double infinity pools are breathtaking. They offer stunning views of the sunset. What really stood out was the customer service and the attention to every little detail. From the time you check in to the time you check out, you are treated like family.
As someone who travels quite often and stays at luxury hotels, the Caesar Augustus is in a league of it's own, and I look forward to returning.

Cons: Prices of drinks at the property were excessive and a pity that we felt compelled to go elsewhere rather than stay around the hotel. When we did have a drink at the hotel the bar staff were aloof and more interested in looking at their phones than bringing our drinks.

Cons: Really difficult to criticize this hotel by any aspect. The prices are high but justified. The amount of the total cost for the room rate is charged in totality one month before arrival.This is not a common commercial policy. But anyway, the place is selective.

Pros: I booked a week here to celebrate my husbands 50th bday and it was the best decision I’ve made to date! We absolutely loved the attentive staff, friendly welcome, great food and fizz.... we are definitely returning next year! Antonella and Silvia are the most gorgeous, warm and friendly ladies you’ll ever meet. Nikkiolo will make you the perfect Bellini, the best pizza and he is the perfect gentleman. Not forgetting Jacob too! Happy and lovely to chat to. There is also a free shuttle which is great to get to Capri town. Breakfast is superb and in a gorgeous setting. Views are to die for! Silvia and Antonella will help you to plan your trip. We booked a boat trip for two through the hotel and it was the most perfect day. You will have serious holiday blues when you leave here!

Pros: first of all the hospitality, and the way every guest was treated as if you are a member if the family, they always tried their best to fulfill each and every request we had, they sent to our room one bottle of prosecco as a welcoming treat and another one on the day of our anniversary, just to make us feel welcome! the view from our room was amazing and you could see the amazing sunset of Capri every evening! the pool is beautiful and so was the rest of the hotel. It is a great boutique hotel with amazing touches of beauty all around. amazing experience, will be back again, and definitely recommend my friends!

Pros: Simona went above and beyond for us during our time on the island. The hotel is a small family run business with the most beautiful gardens and surroundings. The breakfast was all homegrown produce and delicious, the bedroom extremely modern with a fantastic view from the balcony terrace, and the pool area was just lovely. Simona was kind enough to provide us with a lift to and from the bus station, and her mother dropped us into Capri itself one night as she was heading that direction already. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and in fact I hope I do!

She was very warm and welcoming.. the location was phenomenal, the surrounding was green and i loved the plantations around..They had a wonderful service to drop and pick us from the nearby locations/hotels.. they also had the provision to ensure our luggage reaches the ferry point so that we could travel the rest of the day without baggage after checkout from the hotel. The host also booked the ferry tickets for us and saved time to stand in the queue. Overall it was an absolutely amazing experience!

Pros: Where do I start?? This property offers the best in class for location, service and accommodations. We were picked up by the complimentary hotel service at port arrival. From there, we did not handle our luggage once as the porters arranged for our luggage to arrive at the room. Gabriella at the front desk upgraded our room upon arrival and greeted us with a warm welcome and huge smile. She walked us to our room and toured the prosperity. IL Riccio, their private beach club accommodated our request for complimentary beach beds and AMAZING sea views and swimming cliff side. We ate lunch at the restaurant and were given the best table cliff side because we were hotel guests. Complimentary shuttle service to and from Il Riccio and the ferry ports which was a huge convenience and worth the nightly room expense. Breakfast was over the top with selections of cheese, bread, fresh juices, fruits, vegetables. pastries, made to order smoothies and omelettes and various types of morning coffee options. Spectacular VIEW of the town AniCapri and the pool. Breakfast accompanied by a solo pianist every morning which made for a wonderful start to the day. The pool is amazing to swim, dip or do laps and relax by the pool. Frederico, the pool boy, is accommodating and very professional. The room was very large with a deck and beach chairs and immaculately clean. Beds super comfortable. Located by the AniCapri chairlift and circle in town. Walking distance to the main streets of shopping and dining. We were escorted to a recommended local restaurant, El Arcate, which is amazing home cooked Italian style food, pizzas, pastas and seafood. A 3 minute walk from Capri Palace. Giovanni, Nello and Luca are the BEST in their driving skills on the island and ensuring we are picked up and dropped off on time and safely. All are very professional and full of knowledge of the island. Can’t express enough the level of white glove service from the staff of this hotel.

Pros: What a fantastic hotel. The service is immaculate, really really good. The hotel is lovely, the higher rooms have amazing views of the bay. The art is wonderful and they have lots of interesting pieces. The pool is very cool. Il Riccio beach club is a lot of fun and right next door to the blue grotto. I would highly recommend doing sunset drinks at Il Riccio. The food at the hotel is delicious, both Michellin Star Restaurants are gorgeous. The breakfast is fantastic. Really love this place and will most certainly return. The sunset is also lovely, because it is in Anacapri you get a very good sunset. The hotel is in Anacapri town so it has nice little shops, less commercial than Capri Town. You literally walk out the door and you are in Anacapri. Great tranquil place and as I mentioned, it is the best service I have had at a hotel and the staff is absolutely amazing. Loved it.

Pros: What a fantastic hotel. The service is immaculate, really really good. The hotel is lovely, the higher rooms have amazing views of the bay. The art is wonderful and they have lots of interesting pieces. The pool is very cool. Il Riccio beach club is a lot of fun and right next door to the blue grotto. I would highly recommend doing sunset drinks at Il Riccio. The food at the hotel is delicious, both Michellin Star Restaurants are gorgeous. The breakfast is fantastic. Really love this place and will most certainly return. The sunset is also lovely, because it is in Anacapri you get a very good sunset. The hotel is in Anacapri town so it has nice little shops, less commercial than Capri Town. You literally walk out the door and you are in Anacapri. Great tranquil place and as I mentioned, it is the best service I have had at a hotel and the staff is absolutely amazing. Loved it.
Cons: The hotel is quite far away from the sea, so you have a distant sea view instead of being on the sea, that would be my only negative. However, if you are a member of the hotel, you can easily get a shuttle to and from Il Riccio, which is the hotel's beach club and it is great to book a sun bed there for the day and have drinks, lunch and swim in the sea. Amazing views from Il Riccio too.

Pros: This hotel is very well located in what I would consider a slightly quieter part of Capri Island called Anacapri. It was well located a short walk from the center of Anacapri and the buses that took you all over the island. I have ZERO complaints for this beautiful Villa, which is clearly run by a wonderfully close knit family that know how to provide quality service. They also own one of (if not THE best) restaurants in all of Capri island called Da Gelsomina (part of another Hotel they also own) which we dined at 2/3 nights. The one night night we didn't dine there, we had a pretty bad service experience at another restaurant in Anacapri. They offered free shuttle to Da Gelsomina's pool and restaurant as well as to and from the Marina Grande (for arrival and departure dates only) if you book over (I think) 2 nights, which we did. It was truly a fantastic stay in Capri for our honeymoon!

Cons: I was not fond of walking to Anacapri center along the narrow road barely wide enough to fit two cars going in opposite directions. Plus buses, scooters, moto rikshas - too much ;) The smell of exhaust doesn’t fit this magnificent island. Wish there was another way around to the town center.

Bus is €5 but it is standing room only and is swelteringly hot and then a 10 min walk from the stop to The hotel dragging cases. Transportation is a must! Gentleman at breakfast was quite rude and dismissive - there are no kettles in the room so we sought hot water to be shooed away and told “closed”! We asked him For a glass of wine in the evening at 10pm whilst sat on the terrace, he said “room” meaning To get from the mini bar! Hotel Is advertiSed on booking.com as having a pool- I selected this property using the filter for pool There is no pool. It is at the sister property where you have to shuttle to and from After the awful queues at port for buses and awful bus journey, you won’t feel like shuttling to a pool. Listing needs to be changed and it’s grossly unfair and misrepresented- hotel And booking.com are blaming each other and are both just Ignoring my Complaint. This was The 4th property We Stayed in on the amalfi for a week. I don’t complain about properties nor give bad reviews. I find the false Advertising unacceptable Lady on check in was welcoming and helpful.

No false advertising for this place, all you see on booking listing is all that you get (rooms are identical to the pictures). Staff working in a hotel is unbelievable... they are always helpful, smiling and going out of they way to help you. Shuttle service from and to port for your stay is something which will help you more than you think, you can use your day in full and not care about your bags. If you enjoy beautiful sunsets this is the place for you!

Cons: There really wasn't anything I didn't like but I did I wish they offer shuttle service to St. Michael's church and main Capri attractions. It's hard to get around the island by foot with hills and shared narrow roads with vehicles. Apparently, they can't go where taxis go, but maybe leave us closer. But would definitely go back.

The hotel is very close to several bus stops meaning it was incredibly simple to travel around. We recommend a taxi from the port - it was a perfect chance to see Capri for the first time in all of its glory and the open top taxis are great fun. We were given a double room with a beautiful view over Anacapri - the balcony was definitely a highlight. The hotel also has a lovely terrace although we didn’t have time to enjoy it. Breakfast is very varied with pastries, bread, fruits, cereals etc. The staff could not have been more helpful and the location is perfect for enjoying Anacapri and Capri.

The place is right in the heart of Anacapri and so it's quiet and feels local not touristy. The hotel's entrance is filled with roman-like columns and flowers, a great sight! The hotel is very basic, its in AnaCapri so a bit far from the Marina of Capri. The hotel jas rooms with very nice terraces with sea views, rooms are ok in terms of space. Id recommend it cuz its good value for money.

Pros: Initially we planned to spend one night but because the host was so nice with us and informative as to what to do in Capri we decided to stay one more night. The place is right in the heart of Anacapri and so it's quiet and feels local not touristy. The hotel's entrance is filled with roman-like columns and flowers, a great sight! The room was cozy and the breakfast was really good. Highly recommended!
Cons: It's a little bit of uphill walk to the bus station so during hot summer days it might be a little uncomfortable but the walk is through narrow streets with white buildings all around - safe to say it's beautiful

Pros: The staff of this hotel were very nice, the lady at the reception was very responsive by WhatsApp and helped us book in many places as well suggested very good places around in Capri. The hotel is very basic, its in AnaCapri so a bit far from the Marina of Capri. The hotel jas rooms with very nice terraces with sea views, rooms are ok in terms of space. Id recommend it cuz its good value for money.

The boat was new and the skipper has great knowledge of every corner of the island. The owner pick us up in Marina Grande when we arrived and called us a taxi when we checked out (it was very early departure). The taxi is clean and the driver is reliable. Breakfast is good

Cons: The bathtab was broken and as we put water in, there was a huge leak that flooded not just the bathroom but half of the bedroom. We asked to change room but the person at night shift insisted on staying in the room and mopped the floor which didn't help much. We could only change the room next day when a different person was at the reception.

Cons: This hotel is an Ancient building with ancient AC system in the room that doesn't chill room in the night. It is terrible to sleep in the room that is hotter than the air outside in August. Abysmal breakfast with instant coffee!!! The view is not really "sea", it is "a lot of trees with a tiny sea strip from above". We moved out after the first night in this hotel, and they do not give money back.

For the rest the hotel stays the same, spacious rooms and we had the loveliest private terrace. It’s a classic old Capri hotel, some furniture is a bit worn, but who cares with that view :-) Compared to 30 years ago the breakfast has improved immensely and so has the food. And the staff is really nice!

Pros: Location was handy and suitable for us in Ana Capri. Walking distance to the village, bus stop, chairlift ride etc. The swimming pool was a bonus and the reason we booked the place ~ but we got so preoccupied hiking round the island that we only got to use it once in 3 days! Breakfast is included at this hotel and is always a nice bonus but you never really expect too much but compared to other places we have stayed this trip, the breakfast here was ample! Selection of breads, pastries, yogurt, cereal, fruit, eggs, sausages and bacon - there will be something for everyone to have a nibble to start their day... and also plenty of packaged gluten free options too! They make espresso coffee on request (also included) which was a nice touch. A shuttle is also provided at the hotel to and from the port which is definitely handy as it is located at the top of the hill at Ana Capri which is not walking distance from the port (even though we did it, because we are crazy!).

Cons: Small rooms, singles are extremely small. On the site are posted only the best rooms of the hotel, in reality, the rooms are under expectations!! Furnitures and sanitary installations are old! Breakfast is very poor, food quality poor and not variety! Shuttle only for check in/ out even on the booking.com was posted as request!

Pros: I stayed in this hotel 30 years ago and it has the most stunning view over the Amalfi and Capri. I would come back again only for that! For the rest the hotel stays the same, spacious rooms and we had the loveliest private terrace. Cons: The hotel looked a bit run down for the price we paid. We looked at it as just being a place to sleep, so didn't mind terribly, but found it surprising that for the price the shower drain was clogged, lights were burnt out, paint was peeling, etc. At the pool, umbrellas were moldy, and in the restaurant, linens were soiled and upholstery was torn. The hotel staff wasn't always very helpful with suggestions of things to see or do - wanting to keep you in their hotel.

Cons: Don't like that you have to pay for towels and chairs when using the pool at your own hotel if you are a guest. But it's Italy. The hotel would have been grand in its day but it is now tired and run down and the rooms are extremely basic. Every room has a balcony or terrace 'included' but note that for most rooms this is not as fancy as it seems - its basically one large communal balcony which they have partitions sections off outside each room - looks very messy and provides no privacy anyway so the whole hotel would actually look much nicer if they removed all those partitions and just had one lovely large sweeping balcony with nice chairs and tables outside each persons room. It's definitely not a nice space to sit down of an afternoon, with old, dirty and rusty chairs and tables; the front of the hotel and top-back areas of the balcony where there are no partitions are MUCH NICER to while away the morning or evening.

Cons: Had a single room, which is maybe 4sq m. The shower was tiny too. Transfer to and from Marina Grande is likely to be late and you will have to wait in sun surrounded by tourists. In general, my advice is to call the hotel in advance and ask many times for them to be there. Walking from marina to the hotel is not possible. The swimming pool is free, but the sun beds are not. I don’t think it is normal for a four star hotel to charge that.

Cons: The rooms was dull, the minibar wasn't stocked at all. Our dirty glasses weren't removed from our room. The breakfast was woeful and i've personally never been to a more depressing bar than the one in this hotel. The cost to wash clothes there was ridiculous (20eur for two shirts and two pairs of socks). The poolside food was bland and overpriced.

Cons: It is a beautiful building. It is quite dated and requires some renovation but they provide spotless clean rooms and a beautiful garden with a very decent priced. You can sit at your private patio in a beautiful garden. If you can ignored the dated walls, doors and the textile, this hotel is a great deal at a very reasonable price. Therefore deserves 10.

Cons: The most difficult thing is that it is impossible to access internet from your room, which is very uncomfortable at all! The wifi is only available at the main entrance, so to use the internet you need to go out from your room (it will take quite distance for those who are at the garden) and will do tour business in-front of other people’s eye. The second disappointed thing is the stairs! There are so many stairs to reach the hotel and the they don’t have something to carry your luggages! Cannot believe that could be in these days! The hotel’s equipments are poor, even small adapter for charger they do not have! And the third, charging quite high the breakfast is super bad! You have only bread, butter, jam, yogurt, biscuit that’s it, even no juice, can’t believe! Very disappointing...

The bathroom was not extremely clean, nor the terrace tables where we had breakfast
