Amazing decor, and a very specious room. Perfect for a romantic getaway.
The location. The lady whom checked us in. The Gentleman whom checked us out. The door man. The staff at the breakfast. (Mouldy toast, wasn't their fault. Kitchen's responsibility) The concierge team.
-Filthy dirty in-room toilets (Hotel offered 2 other rooms as an upgrade) same filthy toilets. What a shame! A hotel personnel advised that the toilets are clean in the other rooms. However, as soon as I told him that I am going to wipe the toilet with a white hand towel, his voice got shaky and said that he can't guarantee the cleanliness. Remember, "upgrade" is not always the answer/solution!!! Very unfortunate, the Gentleman didn't know how to manage nor how to handle the situation. Decided to stay in my original room after the staff performed toilet cleaning. The staff acknowledged the issue. The quality of the cleaning needs to be checked. -I had been served mouldy toast at breakfast. The staff admitted that 1 bag of white toast is expired. Not sure what else was. -A service tray stayed next to my door step for 2 days. No comment. -Construction started directly below my room for the last 2 days. First day around 9AM and 7Am for the 2nd day. The hotel unfortunately failed to inform or to provide a notice like any other 5* hotel and/or to provide another room away from the noise. No comment. -Dirty in-room french press. Again, what a shame! The hotel has potential. My review might be a little harsh, but it is 100% honest.
Staff were attentive, but not intrusive. The hotel is beautiful, stylish and well located. Our children were welcomed and well looked after. An outstanding hotel.
Nothing. Everything was perfect!
A great hotel, amazing service, great location, comfortable, cozy, the list could go on. Everything about this hotel is first class.
Super experience (again) at the Pulitzer. No hotel like this in Amsterdam, with the renovations from now a few years back it is very nice indeed. We keep on coming back, got married here etc. Were surprised by a nice "welcome back" present from the staff - and overall impressed with the atmosphere that the whole crew creates for the guests. Dank en tot de volgende keer!
Amsterdam is a great place to visit, and many travelers have added it to their bucket list. If it is time to cross it off the list, they have many options when it comes to finding a hotel. One of the most secret gems in Amsterdam is the Pulitzer Amsterdam. This is located in a very hidden neighborhood of old canal houses. This hotel was built in an 18th-century canal house, so it has a lot of history to offer guests here.
There are various rooms for guests to choose from here. Each room includes WiFi, coffee and tea maker, flat-screen television with local channels, mini bar, original artwork, and antique furnishings. These rooms are pet-friendly as well. There is on-site dining for guests of the Pulitzer Amsterdam at Jansz, Pulitzer’s Bar, Pause, and private dining.
Amsterdam is an exciting place to see. Guests of the hotel can check out the Anne Frank House, the Flower Market, Dam Square, Jordaan, The Nine Streets, the Royal Palace, the Red Light District, Oude Kerk, and the Van Gogh Museum. This city is full of history, art, shopping, and food for the guests of the Pulitzer Amsterdam.
When booking a room here, it is important to know the best seasons to come. The rooms here do fill up very quickly because of the popularity of this hotel. Guests will appreciate the multi-lingual staff here that can give them an idea of the best spots to check out. Once they check in, they will soon discover the great amenities and staff this hotel offers.
