The hotel was great, the breakfast, sat looking out over the gardens was a great way to start the day. And being shown personally to our rooms and shown were to park etc were a nice touch. My wife was very appreciative of the complimentary G&T in our Mews suite, complete with ice and lemon. How did you know ?? :-)
Only comment (and this in no way detracted from the stay) is that the allocated parking space for Mews 4 was quite tight, but then again I have a car which is larger than average.
The breakfast was very tasty
The shower was far too hot and we couldn’t work out how to make it cooler. However a member of staff did come and help us straight away .
The property was central to Grasmere, and easy to park your car, breakfast was good quality, and hotel staff were very helpful.
The bedroom was clean and tidy, but needs a makeover paintwork was very tied with chips knocked out of woodwork all over the place, and needs a spring clean radiator in the bathroom was full of dust and rusting in places.
The staff were friendly and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and at home. The area and gardens were beautiful and the rooms were large and well appointed.
Some of the fittings were a bit old, but it was a beautiful place to stay
We loved how cosy the room was as well as the 2 separate areas in the bar. The garden was sublime especially with the view!
Drinks were a little bit expensive but well worth it.
