Excellent staff. Top quality breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Happy days!
The staffs are friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel is great with free car park, walking distance to Ambleside. Room 5 is cosy but it is sufficient for us. It is next to staircase so if you are light sleeper then it won't suit you.
I'm 5 foot tall and I found the bed is narrow, my partner is 6 foot tall, his feet is hanging off at the end of the bed. Heating system was switch on on our second night when it was cold and wet outside. I have to speak to the staff to turn it on. Any fruit come with stone that serve in breakfast please ensure that either they are removed or the customers are been notified. When I ordered the granola with prunes, I almost damage my teeth because of the stone.
Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with a good shower. Lovely service and breakfast on our first morning. Access to the lovely spa at the nearby Salutation Hotel.
Our room was rather small. I didn't sleep well on the second night (out of 2) as the people above were walking around in the early hours. There was a couple in the dining room with a very small baby so it could have been them but the staff should take this into account when allocating rooms. Also the service in the dining room on our second morning wasn't as good as the first morning. It was slow and we had to ask repeatedly for coffee as the coffee filter equipment was empty. We didn't opt for the cooked breakfast the second morning and the portions of alternative choices was insufficient. So a mixed review.
breakfast was good, staff very good
the shower was separate from the bathroom witch did not meet my taste.
Staff were very pleasant. Good breakfast.
The beds were very hard and the bedding smelled. Room not ready when we arrived.
