Excellent facilities, especially with children, very comfortable room and friendly staff. Fantastic location for walking and pubs!
Supremely comfortable bed - wanted to take it home with me! All pretty good actually - great location, superb breakfast and nice sports facilities.
Lots of kids, but then it was half term!
The quality of all the staff who were excellent in every respect; they could not do enough for you and seemed motivated and happy.
Some noisy children in the leisure area were annoying but nothing more; have made the hotel aware of this.
This a beautiful hotel set in wonderful surroundings. The rooms are luxurious and are individually decorated. The spa is very relaxing and everything is spotlessly clean. We ate in the Terrace restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent. All the hotel staff were very friendly. We had a wonderful relaxing stay and hope to go again sometime.
We have stayed at numerous luxury hotel's in the lake district, but nothing compared to Langdale. The food, waiter service, facilities, and whole complex is outstanding. Can't wait to return.
the location and the leisure centre facilities.
there was no pool table
My partner and I both thought that the hotel and its surroundings where brilliant, you really felt like you where somewhere very calming. We thought that the site was clean and tidy and the layout was great. We would definately like to return to langdale for a longer break.
I liked the fact that there were so many facilities at our disposal if we chose to use them, As it was, we were blessed with amazing weather and I did not swim as much as I had anticipated; when I did, I thought th pool. jacuzzi, steam room etc were wonderful.
room very dark and did not have any view

One of the best spa hotels in Britain, the Langdale Hotel & Spa indulges guests with a broad spectrum of activities and wellness. However, their signature rooms are probably the main reason why so many visitors travel here to unwind. Each room follows a different style pattern, which promises a unique experience whenever you come. The Attic Hotel Room is a cozy den-like accommodation with an old-fashioned, stand-alone bath tub in the room’s corner, creating a vintage, almost Victorian vibe; whereas other rooms stun with wood-carved interior and a modern country style look, or colorful plush features and a royal atmosphere.
The stunning heated thermal outdoor pool with a waterfall and views over the Lake District countryside is not the only place to enjoy relaxing hours with your partner or family. Various signature treatments are part of the hotel’s extensive spa menu, such as the Brimstone massage, which enhances flexibility and improves the posture. Muscle tension is relieved and the circulation boosted.
Picture yourself and your partner nestled in the English countryside, splashing in the pool as the gentle drizzle creates a cozy atmosphere. As if that didn’t create enough romance already, the Private Spa does the rest. In a secluded room, you and your partner can hop into the vast bath tub, enjoy a couple’s massage inside the room, and shower off by using the best skin and body care products offered at the hotel - a bliss for newly-in-love couples and longtime lovers seeking time off for two.
Have you always wanted to try Yorkshire pudding, sticky toffee pudding, or devour the traditional fish and chips during your stay in Great Britain? The Stove Restaurant & Bar indulges guests all day with delectable traditional meals, set in a rustic, modern pub-style atmosphere. If you want to get the real pub feeling among locals, just wander down to Wainright’s Inn, a pub in the nearby village of Chapel Stile. Craft beers and "pub grub" are available here and you have the chance to get to know the locals better as well.
If you are not taking your children out for a hike, bike tour, or to one of the many scenic destinations dotting the area, they can play in the indoor soft play area – also a good Plan B for rainy days. The area is well-equipped with a myriad of various activities. Child-appropriate TV shows are screened in front of comfy beanbags, and giant board games can be fun for the entire family.
Whether you come from Carlisle Lake District Airport in the north, or Blackpool Airport in the south, the quickest way by far is with a car. The motorway M6 is the quickest route to the hotel from both sides, and while coming from the north will take about 1h 20m, coming from Blackpool means you will drive about 1h 30m.
