Location, is very central. You have the old town in the left which was 2-7 mins walk to everything and new town on the right. It's walking distance to everything, cafes, bistros, salons and shopping. It's about 15 mins walk to the bus terminal that can bring you to Cabo de Gata, San Jose or Málaga. The staff are lovely. The facility is everything you need, has a small pool and fitness centre but no spa service. The breakfast is very good with plenty of options.
Everything was perfect, location, staff hospitality until we found a plaster on one of the bedding. It looks like the cleaner forgot to actually change the sheets for the new guest and just pressed it to look fresh. Having said that, the room service team has dealt with it accordingly and very apologetic. What would have been great is for the management to acknowledge it and give us some sort of a discount, after all, giving your guest an uncleaned rooms is just out of order. Looks like someone need to independently inspect the room before its allocated to guest. It looks like Marriott standards has declined on customer service and cleanliness. But I won't hold you against one mistake. I will comeback again.

Location was excellent fo a city break and not too far to the beach. Staff were great, we checked in over 2 hours before check in time. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast great
Swimming pool very small and sun loungers were always reserved with towels and not always people there. Very frustrating. Could do with removing them after certain time limit. The beach was about 20-30 minute walk away with loits of bars and ice cream shops enroute

Location is perfect between shopping streets and all restaurants in old town. Room is great, and a roof pool at your disposal (but often all sunbeds are taken, in high season). Possible to walk to the beaches, or take a bus/car if you don't need the exercise.
Parking is expensive. Lobby and bar is very boring, but no problem you can find all types of entertainment around the corners. Breakfast ok but not great.

Room 145 was large enough to accommodate two king size beds. Surely from hotels profitability point a view The should give consideration to accommodate a family in one room. Our stay resulted in 145 & 147

IMPORTANT: OUR FITNESS WILL BE CLOSED FROM 27 DECEMBER TO 30 JANUARY 2018 FOR RENOVATION. The AC Hotel Almería is located in the heart of the historical and commercial center of the province and locality of Almería, near the Alcazaba fortress, and allows for easy access to the airport, Archaeological Museum, train station, exhibition center, beach, and sea-side promenade. Our outdoor pool with beautiful views of the city is perfect for relaxing and open from June 1st to August 31st from 11h to 20h (the schedule can change according to the events, for example saturday 06 16 2018, please ask us before the reservation). Take advantage of the free wireless internet connection in the entire hotel. Our 4 stars hotel also features 8 event rooms, no smoking rooms, safety boxes, business facilities, fitness room open from 7h to 11h, free newspapers and concierge services, and a restaurant, "El Asador" (closed 24 & 31 December & from 15 Jamuary to 29 January 2017)
