We liked the breakfast buffet. A huge choice of delicious things. And every day some changes. We also liked the only 20 minute walk towards the beach. Using the Disney-Park like train from the hotel to the beach (and back) might take longer.
The hotel has the atmosphere of a hospital - not cosy at all. Huge lobby, huge corridors, all painted dark brown. But - cosiness is not rated giving stars to a hotel. The room had a very good bed (mattresses) but a very complicated lighting system. Switches with icons. Can be found easily when the lights are one (and you have your reading glasses put on). If not, it is very hard to switch on the correct light (and walking up mrs. by not switching on the bathroom light, but the bedroom light). Must have been a designer that does not stay in hotels him/herself. Tip: use your cell-phones' light to find the correct switch.

Salgados Palace features rooms as small as 41 square meters to rooms as big as 148 square meters to accommodate for every visitor. Rooms and suites come equipped with many in-room amenities such as air conditioning, free high-speed WiFi access, an LCD TV, hairdryer, coffee machine, minibar, toiletries, and balcony with views of the resort, golf course, or ocean.
