9.2 Excellent
Pros: Well located for visit to ancient site. The staff were AMAZINGLY friendly and competent. Parking on site.
Cons: Decor dated but I would stay there again.
7.9 Good
Pros: We loved the pool, a large lovely area and the staff were delightful! It was only a few k to the valley of the temples...
Cons: The room decor was dingy and the room had a stale smell.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A lot of parking space, nice and comfortable room. Swimming pool was the best part of our stay - it was large and with some toys for our boys. They enjoyed a lot. Stuff was very helpful with some advises for the rest of our journey.
Cons: We had to pay extra the city tax even though it was marked online as included in the price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff. Great location for temples and beaches.
Cons: No facility to dry beach clothes/towels.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff is amazing , great hotel with lovely swimming pool , and facility , very near to theTemple Valley , great Restaurant and other shops nearby
Cons: Bar closed to earlie at evening
4.2 Okay
Pros: The staff was really nice and helpful :)
Cons: The pictures don't correspond with the reality (at least for room 316 that was mine) I can accept that the hotel is old, but the condition of the room was not rated for a 3* Hotel. The shower was full of Fungus on the doors, and the water jet was probably dated from the 80'S. The painting of the wall looked like made by a 5 year old kid, and the AC was really noisy.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was close to the Valley of Temples, Agrigento and not very far from the beach.
Cons: Although it was hot and I would have enjoyed a swim in their very large pool and the temperature of the pool water was good, the pool was unclean and roped off. The day we were leaving it was being cleaned and it was obvious that it was being prepared for a group of students who had arrived the night before. We had also been told that they were going to be busy from now on. We were there in the first week of June which is not too early to have the pool ready for all guests. Our shower - hand held head was uselesss as it wouldn't stay upright in the holder.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is great for visiting Valee dei Templi by car. There is a large private parking in front of hotel. Breakfast is good. The bed is very comfortable. Friendly staff.
Cons: Swimming pool you can use only from 9,00AM- 7,00PM.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. They had a great pool. The staff was very nice and helpful with nearby restaurants. There is free parking. Breakfast was included and was excellent. There was also a restaurant with a limited menu. The view of the ocean and the grounds were its best features.
Cons: The rooms were a little musty smelling so we left the windows open most of the time. The charge 2 euro for pool towels which I didn't like. It is a little difficult to find and nothing is within walking distance.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to Vallei dei Templi, comfortable and clean hotel, good breakfast, own free car parking.
Cons: The dinnet menu too simple and poor and to expensive.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pool was spectacular and great location.
Cons: Hotel smelled unpleasant. Hallways and rooms needed to be aired or perhaps a different product used for cleaning.
6.3 Good
Pros: Large modern hotel. Breakfast was good and the gardens and pool were excellent. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Weather was fabulous. Agrigento is an interesting town. The Valley of the Temples was fascinating and was only 10 minutes away by car. Fish and seafood heaven in the local restaurants in Agrigento and Porto Empedocle. !
Cons: You need a car or taxi to go anywhere. Finding the hotel was challenge. Via Giovanni Gentile is reached via a gap in a hedgerow! The hotel was used by holiday companies so 150 coach tour holiday makers was a challenge for the restaurant. Air-conditioning poured water all over our bedroom floor, twice. Bar staff were called away to the restaurant so at times there was no one to serve in the bar. Atmosphere in this large hotel was flat.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Elegant hotel with lovely terraces overlooking the sea. Huge swimming pool. Has seen better days though could do with some paint.
Cons: Very difficult to find
7.9 Good
Pros: Wonderful setting but isolated and hard to find and needed transport to get out in evening. Plenty of parking. Breakfast excellent. Dinner also excellent. Lovely place to relax around pool after hot day of sight seeing.
Cons: Safe did not work and nor did fridge. Access needs to be better signposted off the main road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff helped steer us in since it’s hard to find
Hotel Villa Athena - Agrigento - Building
3
9.1 Excellent (925 reviews)

Featured amenities include limo/town car service, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a terrace that provided a glorious view of the great temple. Apart from the many other comforts of the room, this hotel had the best shower we’ve had on our two week trip in Sicily.
Cons: While the array and quality of breakfast pastries and desserts was outstanding, the more savory oriented offerings tended to be bland and less interesting. The little egg/spinach squares were no substitute for scrambled eggs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is just located next to Temple Valley with a side door. We only needed to buy the tickets from receptionist and walked into the park. The rooms are neat and confortable. If you don’t like to eat inside, it’s not difficult to drive for a couple of minutes to find some good restaurants. We stayed for 2 nights and all of the family are happy to choose this hotel.
Cons: The TV set in our room is so mini.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were lovely and the situation was superb. The staff were delightful and we loved the gardens.
Cons: The plastic covers on the mattress make the bed crackly and very, very hot. The food, such as was available in winter, was dreadful. Embarrasingly bad.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is located adjacent to the Valley of Temples. The bedding and the breakfast were good, and the grounds well-maintained. The cleaning staff was conscientious and accessible. Other rooms had excellent views.
Cons: We requested a "junior suite" and we were assigned to a ground floor room under the stairs. The room had a small terrace with a view of a hedge; and, our room was often flooded with cigarette smoke. If you stood outside you could see part of the Temple of Concordia. Once we walked through the "Valley" (actually a ridge), we could see other rooms did have a great view. Also, the internet came and went frequently, (when we asked, we were told how inconvenient it was for the staff) and they did not tell us when the water had been turned off for a maintenance issue. We had to complain twice about that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very plaisant staff. Really nice people
Cons: Evrrything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it's the best choice we've made for this trip. There is a private entrance for hotel guest to archeological site which means you don't need to buy tickets for site. IF you want to visit museum, you can buy a spearate ticket for musuem. The location of hotel is perfect, you can see the greek temple from hotel and it makes feel like you are living in hellenistic age.
Cons: The pool and restaurant are closed because now it's now peak season.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It is freshly painted...
7.9 Good
Pros: Facility is world-class. Staff professional and friendly
Cons: Location a bit remote
7.1 Good
Pros: is a good property but very commercial feeling
Cons: The stuff was not friendly, they give you a bunch of silly policy to follow, no welcoming, very impersonal.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It's a very beautiful location with many areas to sit and relax in the sun or the shadow. It has a private beach and a large swimming pool. Most of the staff is very friendly.
Cons: The female receptionist who was there when we arrived was very unfriendly. Check-in is at 3PM, we arrived at 2:30PM and were told we couldn't get in. Take a walk for half an hour she said and then come back. I find it very hard to believe that the rooms weren't ready half an hour before the guests arrive. She also kept emphasizing the fact we were not allowed to have any food or drinks in the room
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice position in front of the sea, clean and efficient
Cons: The rooms are not really 4 stars but rather 3. Same for breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good range of food for breakfast though scrambled egg was a bit dry and crumbly. Excellent location by the sea with long stretch of sand. Pool very good, too. The hotel furnishings gave a feeling of being high class.
Cons: Choice for main course at dinner was very limited. Only three options and mainly the same ones each evening, albeit good quality. We had a car so went to San Leone restaurants several times.

7.9 Good
Pros: We liked the dinner and Silvano, our maître, was exceptional! We loved that we could stay a bit more at the pool after check-out
Cons: We did not like the poor room-to-room soundproofing: we could vividly hear the baby crying in the room nextdoor and it woke us up! Breakfast's quality could be improved
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well situated by the sea, and close to the Valley of Temples. It has easily accessible private parking, and a very large pool.
Cons: Breakfast was OK, but a greater selection of items would be appreciated.
7.5 Good
Pros: Basic but clean. Nice pool with great view over the bay. We didnt have meals at the hotel as it was a short walk to the promenade with a vast range of restaurants.
Cons: Breakfast was basic and as nut allergy suffers we fond it difficult to know what we could eat or not.

Pros: Friendly reception staff and the swimming pool

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel close to the Valley of Temples. All the staff here are outstanding from the great welcome and clear map and information of the area. The museum aspect was unique and interesting.
Cons: There was nothing I did not like about the hotel, but the local commune have some work to do in, improving the streets cleanliness and need to provide pavements for the walk to the seafront/shops/restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large clean room. Great staff. Parking across the street on secured lot. Interesting items in the hotel. Would stay again.
Cons: Very good value for the cost.
6.3 Good
Pros: We stayed in one of the villas during our stay. The room was spacious, clean and the hotel is close to the temples (approx 5 min drive). The restaurant was fairly good and the hotel offered a night tour of the temples after dinner.
Cons: The breakfast was fairly poor and the area of san leone is not particularly nice. We therefore ate in restaurants near to the temples. The pool area looks tired and would benefit from a refurbishment.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hosts were quite nice and helpful.
Cons: It was not as clean as it could be. Hair was found on the mopped floor and in the shower. There sheets and towels were great however.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great The views from room and dining area lovely Best of all the staff were so helpful, Antonio and Floriana could not have been more accommodating with helpful suggestions and amazing service
7.9 Good
Pros: Kind staff, short walk to the sea side.
Cons: Bed and pillows were not comfy :/
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was very kind and helpful. The annexed restaurant was very good and the maitre was so agreeable. Generally speaking, the idea to combine an archeological collection (the "museum") with a 4 star hotel is very interesting and innovative. In addition, there is also a SPA! All was really good.
Cons: The only thing that I can say is related to the "soundproofing" of the rooms. But it is not a great problem.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Mosquitoes. Unbelievable. Mosquitoes. I have no idea how people can live in such a place. They supply a vape. But it has very little effect.
Cons: The rooms were spacious and there is a lot of space around he hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and clean hotel. Nothing to complain. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Everything was to mu liking
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, especially at the restaurant. Also the breakfast was the best we had in Sicilia. The private pool was a once in a life experience (except maybe for honeymoon again)
Cons: Already at our arrival the power of our room went off two times. The staff fixed the problem very fast - at least we thought. At our last night there was a thunderstorm. In the Night the power of the hole village went off (we were told the next morning). Irritating was that nobody told us in the night, what the problem was or if there was anything we need (for example with our baby). At 6:30 the staff shut on the power again. Unfortunately the staff forgot or didn’t care about that in result of the switched on power the curtains automatically open. Things got worse when the power went off at least two times again and the staff turned on the power again so that the curtains opened.

Pros: The breakfast was mediocre and could have used more protein like eggs. It was all pastries, ect. Location was great.
Cons: The rooms had clearly not been updated in years. Sheets and bedding were super cheap.
7.1 Good
Pros: It was clean, room was large, nice sea view from room, breakfast was ok
Cons: I stayed there one night and it was just ok. Not necessarily because of hotel, rather because of location. Location was not nice, it seems to be far away from everything, some buildings around do not look good. The Hotel looked a bit older. I
7.1 Good
Pros: Swimming pool. Good breakfast.
Cons: Remote from restaurants and other services. No explanation or compendium of hotels services upon arrival or at any other time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a quaint little hotel right on the beach in Sicily. We came in early and they quickly had our room made up while we waited. We had beautiful sea views out of our balcony and the air conditioning was great! The breakfast was pleasant. The fresh warm croissants were perfect!! We rather enjoyed the location. Although not within walking distance from much, it was far enough away from crowds so it was peaceful, yet close enough to get to Agrigento with food and sites. Staff was helpful and very attentive.
Cons: Bed was a little hard but not too bad. The beach directly south of the property was a little trashy, but a short walk north and the beach was pristine and beautiful.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good size rooms for our party, nice and clean. Liked the pool and area. Nice people running hotel
Cons: Quite remote, need a car to get to eating places and supermarket. No restaurant at hotel. Breakfast very basic. Beach area not great

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place was beautifully furnished with wonderful antiques. Room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Diana and Dario are fantastic hosts and you‘ll be treated with delicious home-made food- they prepare an outstanding breakfast! The rooms and house are very elegant and it is a joy to sit on the terrasse and watch the sun go down while enjoying a glass of wine. Within few minutes of driving you get to Agrigento and the temples . We‘d love to come back
Cons: For our taste the beds could be softer but we haven’t really found this yet in Italy The outside of the villa isn’t very inviting but given the climate and water situation, totally understandable!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Surroundings instantly give a countryside vibe, house is gigantic and decorated in a vintage italian style. Everything was very clean, room was spacious and beds were comfortable, and most of all the view was absolutly divine. We loved chilling on the terrasse, sitting in the big chairs, watching over the land, the goats and the trees. Breakfast was served in a magnificient room, everything was fresh and delicious (you'll get to try peruvian green fresh eggs). A special thanks to our hosts, who were adorable and gave us plenty of advices and history background on the area.

Very good and reasonable fish dinner at Trattoria Concordia nearby. Liked Agrigento. Thank you for your hospitality.
Cons: Nothing. Steep climb of three stories but we knew that.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the staff, a very gentle guy called Andrea.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: View from the Olive Room. Great cappuccino, fresh croissants and fresh fruits- cute kitchen with two tables. Long way up by stairs but Andreas carried our bags. He recommended the restaurant L’Opera - very good food. Super clean and very good value. HOT water.
Cons: Unfortunately during a heavy thunderstorm on our second night water leaked in. Andreas quickly changed our room and called for maintenance - 11 pm at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully sited in a heritage property in one of the historic lanes. Very convenient for the antiquities of the city and with many good cafes and shops around it. An absolute steal for the price and Andreas was most helpful and welcoming

Pros: Good breakfast. Convenient location within easy walk of the station. Friendly welcome from Andrea the proprietor who gave us a key to collect our luggage at the end of the day and returned an electrical cable which I accidentally left in our room.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location - right in the centre of the old town. Lovely room - very comfortable.
Cons: Parking arrangement. Despite great feedback from other guests about the complimentary parking in the nearby parking garage we were not offered this option. We were told by the staff member who checked us in to park on a public street in front of a rental car office - which we did eventhough it seemed strange. The morning staff made it clear that was not correct and rushed to park the car in the supposedly free garage but we had to pay. E 3.50 while we returned to the hotel to have breakfast. For an upmarket B&B this was a rather bizzare incident. Communicating with staff can be hard if you don't speak Italian.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very nice place. Clean, well maintained Very nice breakfast Staff was helpfull Too bad about the parking incident
Cons: Parking is supposed to be provided free In the morning when we checked out we were told that there were no more validated parking tickets for the car park This seems very strange for such a nice place that seems to be well organized I asked if something could be done about this I was told no So we we had to pay 8 euros to get our car out of the parking garage Too bad to end our stay on an unpleasant note
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well kept, nice rooms, good breakfast and a very good staff, helpful and happy. Situated in a little piazza, beautiful!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very central location in old city; check-in was very efficient; room and bathroom were clean;
Cons: Room and bathroom had an overly-perfumed smell (probably because of the perfume in the cleaning supplies and the incense sticks), was difficult for someone with allergies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were lovely and super welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is superb!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room clean and nicely updated. Convenient parking nearby. Nice breakfast. Wine and deserts welcomed us to room, though I was unable to open wine bottle. Young man at check in was kind in showing me the way to reach the parking lot by accompanying me there.
Cons: When we called for directions to parking, receptionist at front desk was most unhelpful, perhaps because of difficulty with English. Since the hotel is not located on a street but up a stairwell from a restricted piazza, we had to drive for an hour to eventually reach it or somewhere nearby. While bathroom was tasteful, it could be more functional with a shelf since the pedestal sink offered no surface.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is absolutely charming and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotels are so wonderfully situated next to the beautiful Piazza Luigi Pirandello. I was surprised how easy it was to find despite crooked streets of the city. Parking is complementary in a garage about 50 m down below the plaza.
Cons: It was all good. My favorite hotel in Sicily so far!

5.8 Okay
Pros: Perdonnel very helpful snd friendly. Nice terrace and view of teo temples from the ( tiny) window
Cons: Very old furmiture, tiny rooms. For me it was too expensive for such rooms. The location to visit the temple was very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable view of the valley of the temples and the Med. Good trattorias nearby and parking included. Comfortable room and very helpful staff
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the beautiful common areas, dining room and gardens with view of temples. It was late December and not overly crowded.
Cons: The staff needed more updated information about access to the temples. They directed us to walk to the nearby archaeological museum, which we did, and then to take a special pedestrian pathway to the temples. They didn’t know, and the museum staff told us, that the special pedestrian pathway from the museum to the temples is closed in winter. The museum staff advised against walking along the regular road for cars, saying there was no sidewalk and it was quite dangerous. They advised returning to the Colle Verde Hotel and taking our car to the temples. We lost some time having to go back for our car, and let the hotel staff know that their information was incorrect. They apologized and said the archaeological site had not informed them of the seasonal closure of the pedestrian path. This was the only inconvenience we experienced. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, lobby and dining hall are very nice. The front desk Michelle is very helpful, and provided the excellent service. The dinner is also above expectation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was great: service, cleanliness and location (able to walk to the Valley of the Temples).
Cons: In-house restaurant had limited menu,. although we recognize we stayed in the offseason. Also, wifi didn't work well in our 3rd floor room.

4.6 Okay
Pros: It was close to the Templi. Breakfast was ok. They also recommended a restaurant that was fine.
Cons: We were misinformed about having two beds and to add insult to injury they charged us 25€ per night because of the “superior room”! One of us had to sleep on a sofa-bed twin size.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful, breakfast is reasonable. Overall it's fine just a little bit dated, but that is part of the charm of the place.
Cons: Nothing

7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was OK The position of the hotel was up a back street so therefore no view. The staff were very helpful and helped us get parking. As we were only breaking up the journey from Modica to Marsala this Hotel served a very good purpose. Really well situated for the old town and very near to nice restaurants.
Cons: Some small aspects of the hotel were a little thread-bear such as the parcinao window blind cords and storage areas. But all in all very clean. Lighting was a stark.
