Skene House Hotels - Holburn

Very friendly staff with an eye for detail, offering exceptional service. The apartment was just off Union Street, ideal for walking around the city and offered great free, secure parking. The apartment was of an excellent standard and had everything you would need. The continental breakfast was very good and offered a reasonable selection of quality produce. The coffee was very good also. The price paid was exceptional value. I am in the accommodation business also and have a critical eye for detail. I was very pleased with the Skene House, particularly the housekeeping and cleanliness, and have taken away a few ideas of what these guys do so well to implement into my own business. If I am in Aberdeen again I will stay here.

We found our stay extremely pleasant and comfortable. the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The rooms were exceptionally clean and airy and very spacious. The whole experience was excellent and my only disappointment was that we could only stay for one night. however we wouls certainly book again the next time we are in Aberdeen.

The double bed was a small double 4'6" - ok but used to king-size at home and in other accommodation.

Every staff member we met was inpeccable, very friendly and genuine. From ringing to get directions to car parking, the check in, shown our room personally, asistance with taxi, breakfast room staff were warm and helpful, and the check out couldnt have been easier

Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakast (included in the price) was excellent - everything was of a high quality, fresh and there was plenty to choose from.

The showerhead didn't sit properly in the holder - needs to be replaced. The cold water tap in the sink needed a new washer. We were situated on the top floor, so there were quite a few stairs to climb, which wasn't really a problem for my husband and I as we are in our late forties. However, my parents who stayed in the suite next door, did find it a bit of a struggle. Therefore, when booking, bear this in mind and ask for ground/first floor as there aren't any lifts.

Very enjoyable, location is excellent for night out in Aberdeen. The fact that it is a suite gives you much more than just a bedroom. Was very reasonable price but that was on a special offer

No bar as such, just a small bit in reception.

Nice cosy room, great tv and dvd player facilities and a lovely free drink on arrival!

My boyfriend did not enjoy his cooked breakfast!
