Just what a farm B&B should be. Friendly owner Good breakfast
Breakfast! Friendly and welcoming, great communication prior to my arrival. Very helpful with places to eat. Will definitely be back!
Chrissy was great hostess, the little extras like cake and fresh fruit made all the difference, and real milk not mini cartons , highly recommended
Lovely location but hard to find in the dark. Interesting building. Nice and quiet
I was alarmed to arrive and find we weren’t expected because the owner had logged the wrong date in her diary. It all worked out but had we arrived later it could have been a problem, or if they’d been out! We found it cold, and couldn’t turn up the heating, too late to ask for help and we couldn’t get the tv to connect to a channel and ditto
The location was so peaceful, perfect if you want to get away from it all and relax. The breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice but we'd have liked it to have been available up to 9.30-10.00 instead of 9.00 as it was a Bank Holiday. It was more like being in a small apartment than a room as there was also a breakfast area in the hallway. It was very well equipped with a kettle, toaster, fridge and a selection of fruits, yoghurts and juice.
So much more could be made of this accommodation, it's a 500-600 year old building with bags of character but lacked the charm. Just some small changes to the mismatched decor and tired furnishings, particularly in the bathroom, could make such a difference. It has a quirky appeal but more boutique styling could make it into a little gem and warrant the £85.00 per night tarriff.
