When I checked in the room assigned to me was not satisfactory and to move to another room I was charged an extra $10.00/night! No extra amenities were included in the other room, that was just their way to get a higher price for the room! The people next to my room played the TV 24/7! There was a disturbance in the parking lot and although several calls were made to the front desk nothing was done about the situation. I saw no evidence of any management or security staff! VERY sleepless night!
The server was nice. Close to places I wanted to see.
The first room smelled like urine. The second room 37 was quieter, however the person in room 38 was very noisy/distracting. Heavy traffic noise. No variety as to what to have for breakfast. NO individual heating/cooling controls. Both my spouse & I fell ill because of the coldness/drafty in room. Main office is in a separate building than the rooms. Due to me having a knee replacement did not see any handicap accessible ramps. Too many steps to climb.
GPS took me to the property but I at first thought I was at the wrong address because I couldn't find the office, which was in another building across the lane.
Staff was good and patience. Washroom and room were not bad
Ac wasn't working good and making more noise than cooling.
The breakfast was about the only thing that was a positive. Good food. Polite service.
When we arrived the place was locked up. Finally an old guy wandered by and rapped on the window of the office for us. They unlocked the door. Apparently they have casino machines in the bar! and need to keep the door locked. This matched up with the hookers outside when we drove around the building. Claimed not to have our reservation, but then apparently found it. Because it was past 2 a.m. due to a late flight out of Toronto, (thunderstorm delay) we paid full price and went to our room. Bare necessities, mouse trap under the vanity in the bathroom. Neighbouring tenants fought loudly until between 3 and 4 a.m. Needless to say, it was a rougher neighbourhood than we expected. Building looks worse than your pictures by several years. If we had known the city and it wasn't very late, we would have moved on.
