The hotel was well located and convenient for Windsor town centre.
I thought £170 was a lot to pay for a junior suite which was no bigger than a standard hotel room.
The atmosphere in the bar and the helpfulness of the staff and quality of food served in the bar.
The staff were very helpful, although one receptionist did not appear well trained: I asked about internet (Wiffi) in the hotel and she assumed that I was just a person who had walked in off the street (because she had not been on the desk when I checked in). So she gave me erroneous information about the availability of internet at the hotel.
The owners of this hotel need to provide the kinds of services that their website offers. I have had much better facilities at hotels that charge the same amount elsewhere in the London area. The internet in my room did not work --and the room I was first given was very small -- the only place to plug the kettle or a laptop in was above the head of the bed, which was against the wall, so you had to scramble across it on your knees. On the up side, the staff were friendly and helpful if not always well-infromed (see # 2 above).
friendly staff, facilities not used as very short stay.

The location of this hotel is brilliant. Just at the end of Eton high street which has lovely boutique shops and some great places to eat and drink. Just over the small bridge at the end of the high street brings you to the foot of Windsor castle and all it's shops and restaurants - great location if you don't want to be overlooking the shops but just a nice 4 - 5 min walk away.
The rooms are very small and like little chalet cabins rather than hotel rooms. We were lucky enough to get room 23 which was up a small flight of stairs and was a slightly bigger room. The bed was lovely and comfy and a beautiful shower/bathroom with Molton Brown soaps etc... however it still needs a bit of updating. The tv was about 20 years old and is in the way of what could be a nice dressing area / suitcase storing. Two small niggles were the outside light was broken and also the headboard needs nailing down as every time you move it bangs on the wall...sounds trivial but drove my hubby mad during the night! All in all you're paying for the location and not the luxury!! Best tip...cafe over the road, amazing breakfast!
