The bedroom was a great size along with TV and bathroom. Facilities in the room were good with everything we needed. There were some local shops close by which helped and the neighborhood felt safe. 15 min walk into Georgetown and about 15mins to get to Lincoln memorial, so well placed.
Hotel was nice, though undergoing renovations to change brand, so was a bit of scaffolding around and no bar or restaurant available. Tea/Coffee making in the room could have also helped - esp as there was not restaurant available.

good location
construction work is in progress at the hotel, and no one is informed about it. In the rooms is concrete, the photo does not correspond to reality

The room was newly renovated and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a water heater in my room so I could prepare a tea, and they arranged one. They have small night lights near the bed, great detail!
The hotel is in the midst of renovations so the restaurant and gym were closed and the lobby was a bit of a building place. It would have been nice to know beforehand. BUT, I stayed in the Wink before, and rooms have improved a lot since! A few minor recommendations to the hotel management regarding the new rooms: - Make a water cooker/coffee maker a standard item. For me it is the difference! - There is no power outlet near the desk which is inconvenient when working with a laptop - I would choose another type of wardrobe. My clothes were touching my suitcase all the time. Please remember some of your guest are female and carry longer dresses. I also would prefer a closed wardrobe. - A makeup mirror would be nice (the one if the fixed mirror does not do the job) - Lightning can be improved greatly. The room is very dark, especially with the dominant brown furniture. - I asked reception if the floor was temporary, and I understand I was not the first guest to act. Although I do not mind the industrial look, you should never combine it with a carpet, and a concrete floor with gaps and holes feels a bit like a building place. - The AC was very noisy, and I never got it to work properly - My television was not connecting to the network (I know I could have asked reception, but I did not find it very important)

Location, in room amenities was good.
It's still a nder renovation. Didn't pose a problem for me, but maybe for others.

The room was fine, and decorated nicely enough
Avoid, avoid, avoid. A disappointment from start to finish. What the site doesn't tell you is that the hotel is going through renovations, so the lobby is a building site (with exposed girders and plastic sheeting everywhere), there's no lobby space downstairs and you will be woken up at 8:30am on a weekend by loud drilling and hammering. Further to this, the state of cleanliness and repair in the hallways is very poor (how hard is it to vacuum a carpet?) and the walls between rooms are paper thin. I could hear every word of a woman next door having a tedious telephone conversation, at volume. Overall, the images on the site make The Wink look like a modern design hotel, with a lot of the interiors / furnishings remniscent of The Hoxton in London or The Ace Hotel in New York. However, the execution is cheap and disappointing at every turn. Examples of this of this include the room door that needed to be slammed to close properly, meaning you could easily leave it open by accident, or the toiletries that felt like cheap dollar-store refills. The exposed concrete floors are trying to trendy but without a proper polish they just look unfinished, a good analogy The Wink as a whole. Finally, while the hotel is being renovated and re-launched as 'The Hangout', be wary - I suspect many of the reasons I didn't enjoy my stay at The Wink will carry over into the 'new' hotel. A Holiday Inn would have been cheaper and would have had thicker walls at least.
