The receptionists were very nice.
Door lock was broken. It was in a bad neighborhood. Too many vagrants hanging outside of hotel. People came from the streets to use the pool. Looked like drug addict/dealer ideal place to interact. Not for families to stay.
If you just need a clean room.
The staff was great, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. plenty of hot water. The toilet was running mentioned that to the front desk and it was repaired in 10min. Conveniently located by 264, 20+ minutes to the beach.
The common areas were dirty. The elevator and the hallways smelled like smoke. The location is hard to get into, until you find out which parking lots connect and which ones do not. There is not much close by with that said in 10 minutes and you are in the "new down town"
My room and most of the building smelled like smokers. When I woke up after one nights stay I had the taste of a pack of cigarettes in my mouth and I don't smoke.
Quality people, worst La Quinta
The Service was excellent and everyone greeted m openly. The Beds were comfortable.
My first room looked as if someone was still in there. To tell you the truth I called out, saying hello figuring I was walking into someones room. No one was there, the bed looked like it does in the morning...sheets pulled back and the other bed sheets tore off of it. On the bed side stand there was a collection of empty creamers and sugar packets. To top it off, The previous person left a #2 in the toilet. To say the least I was applaud; on the bright side somehow I did have all clean towels. I immediately called down to the front desk and they gave me another room apologizing. My other room was OK for me but if my wife and son were with me the room would not have flown. It just had a dirty feel to it. Scum in the shower tiles, the rug had white stains all over it, the heater smelled. Eventually, I got use to the smell and the bed was clean so I slept well and left in the morning.
