The staff were really friendly and super helpful, recommending little out of the way things to look at. Free luggage storage after checking out. The cafe was good and even had a few western meals and drinks.
They need more hanging hooks in the bathroom.
Hostel is new and very clean, staff is very nice. Keycard is needed to get to hostel area and in your room.
Go to hotel from JR Nippori is not recommended for trip with elder or large luggage. It's easier from JR Nishi-Nippori
Staff were helpful. Cafe opens 24/7. Location was easy to navigate. Price was decent.
If you come with luggages, better go to the hostel using the Nishi Nippori station. If you come from the Nippori station, you will have to carry your luggage down the stairs in front of the small market street. I booked a room for four with 4xfuton, and the room legit had enough space for 4xfuton. It was really inconvenient when we wanted to arrange our suitcase. There are people who left their personal belongings in the bathroom area and it was disturbing.
The cleanliness and close to station.
It’s more better if each of the room got their own toilet and bathroom.
Amazing choice for international travellers. You have all the facilities you can think of, all the services and more (the hotel sent us an email after the booking with a complete list of their offer, from renting a phone to selling tube travelcards). The place is huge, with many toilets/shower facilities (great water pressure by the way!) and a 24h café, but it mantains a cosy atmosphere. We stayed in a private room with 2 futons, which is literally any backpacker's dream: cheaper than a single bed in a dormitory room in many hostels in Tokyo, you have so much space and the futon is really comfy. We never ate at the cafeteria, but we tried their green smoothie for breakfast - delicious! They have fresh tap water always available as well. The location is priceless - a peaceful area with good traditional restaurants as well as a 7Eleven almost in front of the hotel, but also well-connected (Nippori/Nishi-Nippori are both on the JR Yamanote Line which goes anywhere touristy). I feel genuinely nostalgic when I think about our usual walk back to the hostel in the evening, I really felt at home from day one. I can't wait to be back!
Although they have many wi-fi lines, the connection wasn't very powerful in the room (they have a specific one for the cafeteria). We didn't need to make any calls/video calls, but I am not sure the wifi in our room would have been able to support it. To be fair, we never asked for support/to solve the issue because it didn't really matter to us, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
