The view, grounds and position were all exceptional. The hotel provides a very good breakfast inside or on the terrace in the summer months. Free parking right in front of the hotel is a bonus. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
The room was lovely with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, one of the mattresses in the room we stayed in needs replacing. It was quite saggy and made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
Great view of the lake. Peaceful but lots of church bells! Our balcony was a great addition. Easy drive to Locarno Switzerland for a day trip. Breakfast was very good. Grocery store in Stresa
It is difficult to find. It is a crazy switchback road to get to Stresa. The next village is even harder to find.
Excellent breakfast. Very nice staff. Super accommodating. Great location
Nothing place was really great
Fantastic elevated view over the lake, clean, smart hotel with nice small garden to relax
Not as close to centre of town as booking.com website suggests. Definitely not 1 mile. (cab ride or 30min walk). Uphill walk to come back. You really need a car to get about.
This is a nice hotel with a spectacular view looking out over Lago Maggiore and toward the mountains beyond. If you just want a fully modern hotel to rest in and breathe deep of clean air and majestic vistas, this will suit you well. Staff were very helpful with all issues.
The only problem is with Brisino, not with the hotel. Brisino has nothing: no shops, no restaurants, nothing but a handful of houses, a church and the hotel itself. If you want to get something to eat or something from a supermarket you will need to go down the hill in a car to Stresa (3km) for that. And it is a BIG hill ... which brings me to the other negative: under no circumstances do what I did and go there by bicycle ... not unless you are a serious Giro d'Italia cyclist!
With a stay at Hotel Brisino in Stresa, you'll be a 5-minute drive from Lake Maggiore and 6 minutes from Borromeo Plaza. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
