Great location, but about the only thing going for this place. I would avoid on my next visit to Sofia.
Everything. Cramped room. Shutter didn’t work . Very small double bed. Other guests very noisy, throwing up during the night
too expensive for me
owner and staffs treated me badly
Location is good.
Although there is an airport shuttle it's overly expensive - three times that of a taxi. I arrived late and was told my room wasn't free, that I could sleep in a dorm and then the next day I would be upgraded from a private room with shared bath to en suite. The next day I had to wait around until midday for this, as I had no way to lock up my things. I was reminded daily that I was not paying my stay, that I should be grateful for their hospitality. I booked breakfast with my stay. The first 2 days I got nothing, then I had to argue with the housekeeper, who said that as I had gotten an upgrade I wasn't entitled to breakfast. Apparently the kitchen was broken, so I couldn't get breakfast. Then she said I hadn't booked breakfast, got the manager on the phone and then disappeared until after ten, then told me I was too late. When I finally got breakfast it was day processed sausage and dry bread, which was thrown bitterly on the table. Breakfast was not provided for anyone, apart from dry cereal, regardless whether or not they had booked it. I was then accused of not paying for the airport shuttle. All in all an awful place to stay in a great location. Mihail is a lovely man, but the housekeeper is anywhere between crazy and flat out rude. I would not recommend staying here and I would not recommend booking.com further advertising this property on their site.
The location is great, the room was rather small but cozy. The bathroom was very clean and the staff was amazing and sweet, especially Diana! We had a great time and even greater french press coffee in the morning.
I emailed with an extensive complaint. The facilities were extremely dirty, the sheets had not been washed, it was cold and damp, I was received in a very unwelcoming way, and the receptionist came and spoke to me while I was on the toilet (which didn't lock), with the door wide open. Please check my email for more information.
