is was difficult to arrive...and the staff was not nice and not welcominging- the explenation about parking - that was different bye lift- was verry poor and they - the staf- not help....verry not nice welcoming
The bed was too soft
The location, in the heart of the old town, is good. Many sights can be seen on foot.
Reception staff are surly. No evidence of customer-centric thinking. The room was small and it is in need of renovation; this applies even more to the bathroom. The shower is tiny. If taking your car, please realise that parking in the underground garage is hairy and involves an elevator ride for you and your vehicle: a very claustrophobic experience!!
The location was great, right in the heart of the Old Town of Rouen, and only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. This magnificent building has survived numerous attacks and bombings, yet there are stained glass windows from the 14th Century that have survived. Lots of atmosphere in the Market square during the day, wonderful colourful market stalls, and lots of restaurants. Photographers will love it. Parking at the hotel can be booked in advance which was important for us as we were travelling in a classic car, and friends in their Bentley. Breakfast was SUPERB! Wished I could have eaten more.
Cars were taken to the hotel's underground car park in a lift. When we arrived, this car park was full, so we parked in the courtyard. The friends we were travelling with had a very heavy Bentley, which went down into the car park without problem, but the next morning, the lift seized up with the effort. It was a Sunday, and it took eight hours before the right technician came to fix the problem. Around 10 cars were stuck in the car park all day. Our friends missed the Eurotunnel train back to UK, but the hotel were great and offered to pay any expenses incurred, as well as the extra night at the hotel. But anyone with a heavy vehicle should be wary of parking in the underground car park! The same morning, the internet went down, as well as the credit card machine so we could only pay cash for our bill.
Very charming décor, thé Colors were calm and pleasant. The location is very convenient, right in the middle of Rouen but on a relatively quiet street. The staff was friendly and helpful. We lived the view of the courtyard from our fifth floor room.
The breakfast buffet is cramped and seemed like it was hard to replenish. I didn’t like the make your own orange juice, messy. Other similarly priced lodgings have freshly squeezed orange juice that you don’t have to make yourself.
