Charming Room in Ponte
The location is tremendous. You can quickly walk to the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori. On Easter Sunday I walked out my door into the biggest passagiata I ever saw. I easily walked through Piazza Navona to the Spanish Steps to Piazza del Populo. The streets were largely closed to traffic. The hotel is surrounded by great shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is in an old tastefully restored building with modern accents contrasting with tradition. I noticed many tourists taking pictures of the stairs up to the hotel. For someone seeking period charm, this hotel satisfies. The lobby has a self serve espresso machine and supply of water and soda, which proved great for a quick break in the afternoon.
Be aware there is not a standard continental breakfast. One of two mornings there was a supply of yummy corronettos next to the espresso machine. There are plenty of options nearby, including a full English breakfast just down the street. The check-in may initially be done remotely as there is not a 24 hour desk. I missed my check-in by about 2 hours. I was able to reach the owner immediately. She had left the key and provided a code for the front door. Beware if you have difficulty with stairs. The hotel is up about 20 stairs and all rooms inside require at least a few stairs. It would only be difficult for someone who has real trouble with stairs. Anyone who can climb a few stairs and lift their suitcase will not have a problem. None of these things troubled me but others might want different arrangements.
With a stay at Luxury Navona, you'll be centrally located in Rome, steps from San Salvatore in Lauro and within a 5-minute walk of Piazza Navona. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
