In a central position off a popular square. Room ok, bed a good size, coffee and tea making facilities, biscuits and packet of cake left every day. Rooms cleaned every day and bed made and changed a few times when we stayed for the week.

Tiny name on a brass plaque outside brown doors is the only way of finding this place. Two flights of stone stairs to get up to the main door. No lift. Reception only manned a few hours a day. You are given three keys, one for heavy outside door, one for door into the lobby and one into your room, so basically for most of your stay you are left to your own devices. A bit like staying in an apartment but without the convenience of a lounge and kitchen for comfort. This is not a hotel, merely a few small bedrooms rooms on part of the first floor of a block. Underneath our room, on the ground floor on the corner is a popular cafe with cheap and tasty food however, it is open all day and kitchen and customer noise can be heard from 5.30am until 2am the next morning. There is double glazing on the bedroom windows but it still comes up through the floors and bathroom. Our stay was in February, not the busiest of seasons so goodness knows what the noise will be like in peak season and especially when one would want the windows open. The booking website doesn’t include the fact that you have to pay a daily city tax charge to the person on the desk when you arrive, in our case 49 Euros.

Great location to walk to most of the key places in Rome. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Good to have a kettle and some snacks in the room when you get back from long days walking round Rome. Great for a weekend.

    Wifi was a little slow.

At no point do I remember reading that the hotel was above a busy bar that opened til 2-3am every night I was there, plus a lot of patrons spent their evenings on the streets outside all night, the noise was unreal, I recorded it, through a closed window, it was so bad. I had requested a quiet room when I made the booking, and when I asked the very unfriendly and unhelpful (at one point I asked her if she could call a taxi number so I could book a return trip to the airport, because I don't speak Italian, she did so reluctantly and said she couldn't get through, so i had to ring later myself and muddle through) receptionist her response was that no one else complained about the noise???!!!! I asked for a different room and she offered me one beside the one I was staying in and I said it would still be very noisey as it was also over said bar she then offered me another room on other side of building at extra cost!! Being on a budget I couldn't afford it so was stuck where i was. There was also the issue of the 120 or so channels on the TV, which would have helped drown out the sound but not one station was in English or even subtitled, except BBC news!! There was also constant banging and dragging noises 24/7 coming from upstairs, which added to my insomnia and i still have no idea what that was from? All in all I was VERY disappointed with the hotel, I went for a relaxing mini break and ended up missing out on loads of sights as I couldn't get asleep at night and was therefore too tired for early morning excursions. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a restful stay, if you are a heavy sleeper or will be out late at night it would be okay for you as on the plus side it's location is excellent and the guy helping out in the hotel when the receptionist wasn't there, was actually, very helpful! Despite its good location not worth the money! If I could get a partial refund I would definitely try. Lorraine, Ireland

Location is great. Near the major sightseeings. 15 mins walk to Vatican. The bus to Rome Termini is 2 blocks away. Friendly staff. Clean and nice hairdryer.

The nearby restaurants are very very expensive. Nice for a fancy dinner but not for a quick meal or a long stay. We found more affordable bars and restaurants in Campo Di Fiore just 5 mins walking.

hospitable place. the room is clean and bright. we had a honeymoon. they gave us a nice room, decorated the bed, it was very nice. there are many cafes and a fountain of four rivers. The next time we come to Rome, we will definitely go here.
