We didn't opt for breakfast as we wanted to get into the city and try something else. Waiter service at evening dinner was very good. Meal was also very enjoyable.
Long walk away from the hotel to any shops or restaurants; through a scruffy neighbourhood. Didn't like having to pay 5 Euros each extra for use of the swimming pool and then on top of this, to pay 2 Euros each for towels, as we were not allowed to use our room towels. Lunch menu was limited and a small glass of mediocre house wine was 5 Euros;
It was clean n that’s about it.
Staff,woman called Sofia at desk she was racist rude,n arrogant.after a long drive from UK we were hoping to rest the night after arrival.we were made to stand at reception for 40mintues since they didn’t had rooms ready for us,then they were trying to charge extra money for different rooms. On refusal they just shrugged there shoulders about what to do next.had to phone booking.com to resolve the issue then they made us wait further for second room, then we were given 2rooms 20doors apart.we were feeling miserable just walking in between the rooms for stuff in suitcases.staff was simply horrible. I had plans to use swimming pool,but my kids said they are scared of staff so they don’t want to use the pool. That was my kids opinion that staff was horrible n made them feel isolated.
Some staff where friendly including kimo who could talk several languages and so helpful. Francessco the bar man was also brilliant who made sure we where always stocked up on drinks! Hotel room was comfortable but the shower was broken and went from boiling water to freezing cold! Very pricy and the location was not good but they run good bus services. The pool was 5€ a day which was silly and then an extra 2€ for a towel. Overall it was a good experience with a few disappointments
pool was nice (when open), nice bar area, free parking and easy access to garage.
The staff!! Treated appallingly by the rude staff from the moment we arrived! Rude receptionists speaking down to is even though we as the paying customer had to wait half an hr for room to be made ready. This was despite arriving 2 hrs after our expected check in time and after a 5 hr car journey was not pleasant. Then our room for 2 adults and 2 children only had enough beds for 1 adult and 1 child-kids were expected to share what was basically a single sofa bed with one pillow. Was rudely told by reception that we would have to pay for an upgrade if we wanted beds for both children! After some arguing they agreed to bring another fold out bed but the man from housekeeping who delivered this swore at my husband under his breath! The following day after a particularly hot day walking round Rome we returned for a swim (only reason we booked this hotel) to find it closed for the whole day due to some light drizzle earlier that day. Queue another debate with rude staff on reception who when asked to contact manager rolled their eyes. We insisted he was contacted and he soon changed his mind and opens the pool which was then enjoyed by many hotel patrons as the weather was glorious! The hotel is in a derelict run down area of town-not within walking distance of either a shop/restaurant or train station(false advertising of bus stop 5 mins away as this does not go into city centre). Hotel then charge you 6euros pp for their shuttle bus which literally takes you 3 miles down the road to metro/train station where you then by your tickets for city centre. So for a family of 4 it would have cost €24 per day just to get to metro station! Luckily we had a car and after a bit of exploration found a place just behind valle Aurelia station to park car on the roadside for free and walk 2 mins to metro. Rooms smell of smoke, all the carpets are filthy and stained in this hotel.
Everything was really good about this property Facilities, rooms, restaurants even a boutique/ souvenirs shop on-sight. Staff was really good and helpful and everything was smooth. If you have a car, it’s almost 20 mins to everywhere in rome and if you don’t the hotel provides a shuttle bus.
