The manager, Rodman Chan, was so kind and helpful. I had injured my knee and he helped my husband bring our luggage upstairs to our room. And, all with a big smile! I’m so grateful for his kindness. In addition the suite of rooms were well appointed with gorgeous views over the lake and mountains. We particularly enjoyed the spa bath having just completed a 3 day hike of the Routeburn Track.
Beautifully presented and plenty of areas to spend time outside the room. Views of the lake and mountains were spectacular.
Breakfast couldn't be catered for Vegans. Some complimentary toast and Nutlex was provided, so they try to accommodate where possible. The view from the Balcony (not a high level balcony)- more just a veranda on ground level, was the best part. Loved the big spacious bathroom - that was the best.
The place wasn't maintained as photos indicated, the grounds are overgrown in places and seems to be neglected. The house is old and dated, nothing really modern, the furnishings and paintings and decor are strange and mismatched, and felt like an old persons home. Also forgot to top our the toilet paper or leave any available so we brought our own. The ad said they provided robes, which they gave us the second night upon asking.
It was beautiful and clean very comfortable. Attention to detail was exceptional.
Views are fantastic, rooms are large and beds are comfortable.
Grounds neglected and untidy and general cleanliness needs to be improved. Definitely not a five star accomodation
