Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's central location, making it convenient for exploring downtown and attending events. Many found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, and several enjoyed the ambiance and amenities such as the restaurant and gym. However, there were notable complaints about cleanliness in some rooms, elevator issues causing delays and safety concerns, and dissatisfaction with value for price, including high parking fees and room rates. Despite these negatives, the positive aspects of location and service stood out for most guests.

Pros (+) Great check in staff and very nice room.
Cons (-) Decided to stay in instead of going out and the bar staff at the hotel was horrible waited 15 minutes for first drink and then couldn't remember what the drink was. It was super expensive and staff not very personable
8.2
Very good
Anonymous, May 2017
Pros (+) Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons (-) The Concierge Room is advertised as being for guests with rewards points at the Platinum or Gold level plus one guest. The hotel opened the Concierge Room to hundreds of pre-teen and teenaged girls unchaperoned, competing in a national ballerina event in the city. Business and professional guests very disappointed.

Pros (+) The Renaissance is close to so many cool downtown Phoenix venues - Valley Bar, Hanny's Seamus McCaffrey's, and Crescent Ballroom. We were able to walk around and had plenty to do all within walking distance.
