This hotel seems to be in an unsafe neighborhood that is very dirty as well. I don't understand how this hotel could get a 4 star rating. Yes, there is a pool, but it is very small. The room we were given was not clean, there were wet towels on the bathroom floor.
I checked out of this hotel 20 minutes after checking in. We would rather have lost money than stayed at this hotel. It definitely did not live up to a 4 star rating.
The hotel is not in the tourist neighborhood, which I actually preferred. I was tired of being in the 'tourist bubble' and it was nice to walk around a neighborhood without many tourists. There are a lot of new mansions in the area, so it must be pretty affluent, and the new TK shopping center about a 15 minute walk away was very nice with restaurants, a big supermarket, a movie theater and coffee shops. The fanciest facility like that I saw in Cambodia. The hotel is clean and new and in excellent condition. The Korean restaurant and the King Grill are good restaurants very close to the hotel.
I liked the pool, the breakfast, the comforable room with efficient air conditioning and cable TV with many foreign channels, the gym, which was much better than most hotel gyms and had machines and some free weights, the wifi, and especially the staff.
Have to take a tuktuk to the riverside or Royal Palace areas but it's only around $3. Although the restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner there was hardly anyone in there and the prices were a little high.
