Beds are big and very comfortable, the hotel is quiet, hot water working perfectly, powerful wifi, friendly staff, simple good quality breakfast. It is simply decorated, no luxury. I would definitely come back
Great location near the ruins
The staff were really helpful and friendly. They organised a couple of excellent excursions for me very reasonably priced. One was a beautiful hike to a special Inca site and the guide was excellent. Also had a great driver who took me to a weaving village, Moray and salineras.
Would have been cosier with bedside rugs and lamps. Otherwise excellent.
This was a great location. The restaurant across the street is owned by a US expat (so it is safe to eat all food as she properly cleans everything for our sensitive stomachs). Renato was very helpful with all of our questions and requests - amazing English. We did organize a taxi with a half-day tour through Renato to bring us from Cusco to Ollantaytambo - this worked very well. We visited Maras and the Moray salt mines along the way. We did not book a guide, but our driver spoke some English and would explain the major things we passed in the car. The day we needed to leave at 5:30 am to visit Machu Picchu, a breakfast was prepared for us to take along. Other days, breakfast was good; eggs and cappuccino prepared to order. Cash was taken in sol or USD. Visa also accepted but as with most other places here, they may add a surcharge.
Our room was a bit small but clean. We did have issue with only one available outlet in the room - we were all fighting to charge our phones.
Nice cosy atmosphere
The room was too cold despite the heater. The reason is that the window doesn’t fully close. It is uncomfortable to sleep in Ollantaytambo when cold air is entering the room
With a stay at Doña Catta Inn in Ollantaytambo, you'll be just steps from Cerro Pinculluna and Plaza de Armas. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
