Very nice, clean room. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Fair fitness room. Free self-laundry service. Close to French quarter - just a 10 min walk and we did not feel uncomfortable walking in the area, even at night.
Pool bar closes a bit early (7pm). Breakfast buffet was a little boring, compared too when just ordering from the menu.
Great gem of a hotel! Historic building, lovely room, great bathroom, super clean and well designed and furnished. Especially loved the roof pool with urban views of skyscrapers! Location was spot on with the trolley cars passing by and stopping just in front.
You can't make international phone calls (i.e. calls to Europe), which is a little silly for a hotel, especially a good hotel like this one. I needed to make a few urgent calls for work and since phoning from the room phone was not an option I even enquired about booking a landline phone in the business centre, but there too there are no phones to make international calls. The only way out was to follow the receptionist advice and buy an international pre-paid call card, though this was not convenient (as they don't sell them themselves so you need to find a shop first) and ended up delaying my calls. But apparently it is a glitch that affects some rooms only and they are trying to fix it. In the end it did not spoil my opinion of the place - it is a great little hotel - I would definitely stay again, I would definitely recommend it!!
People were friendly. Hotel and pool were beautiful. The beds! They were the MOST comfortable!
I loved the rooftop pool and bar area.
I didn’t find anything that I didn’t like.
Everything is so roomy. The rooms, the bathroom. I love the reception area.
I didn’t like that I had to keep using the key and use different elevator to get to pool. Pool bar was not always open.
