Pool was nice and outdoor area lovely. Close too French quarter.
Room was ment to be a king was very small door actually hit the bed on entry, you could only just walk around bed! Room wasn’t serviced while we were there and we actually ran out of toilet paper!!
The bed's are very comfortable, the rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very nice and friendly. The location is top notch, very close to Frenchman's Street and a short walk into the heart of the French Quarter.
The house is from 1820 (I think, or close to it) so has a few quirks. It would be nice to have something more substantial served in the morning other than a bit of fruit and coffee. Also, the back gate is left open during the day with a rock so workmen can come and go easily - I did not love this, as anybody can walk in, and I would prefer everyone could feel safe in this lovely little courtyard and pool area.
There was no breakfast included at our booking. The hotel didn't have a restaurant so they didn't offer breakfast. At the reception, though, they offered different types of coffee and fresh fruit without extra fees. The location of the hotel was amazing. Right in the French quarter and close to the Frenchman's street and the Bourbon street.
The only thing that we didn't like was the price. I believe that they could have a little lower prices as the rooms were very old. This is not negative but I would expect for such an old building slightly lower prices per night.
Location. Clean and comfy rooms in an outside courtyard
The ‘main’ hotel was very shabby, it had a smell of oily overalls in the hallway where a bicycle was propped up against the wall, the decor looked grubby. Expensive for what it is
Love the beds and bedding was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The location was good with a short walk to the French market.
The original house needs repair. The house is very old of course but hasn’t been kept up to it’s potential. Because it’s old it has nostalgia, but would love to see it restored fully.
The Lamothe House hotel looks as traditional as it gets for New Orleans architecture. This hotel screams historical on the outside, but has been completely updated on the inside to give guests an immersive old-school experience, with modern amenities and comfort for enjoyment.
Guests have a few different choices for room types. The main building houses five Grand Antique Suites that are decorated with antique furniture and artwork from the the old days of New Orleans. Other options are deluxe rooms, other suite options, and even two-bedroom suites. There is another building that’s part of Lamothe House located just behind the main part of the property, across the street.
The Lamothe House hotel is right near the famous French Quarter of New Orleans that is full of restaurants and cafes serving all of the delicious cuisine that the Big Easy is known for. It’s also within a very quick walk from Frenchmen Street. This is the “Bourbon Street” that the locals hang out on. There, visitors can take in some live music and lots of amazing food.
New Orleans has no shortage of things to do. There is tons of live music everywhere. There are shows to go see. There is a large aquarium, all that Bourbon Street has to offer, the French Quarter, exquisite art, and a lot more. No matter what time of day or night it is, there is something to do.
The Lamothe House hotel is beautiful and a tribute to the history of New Orleans. From the liveliness of the French Quarter, to the sweet sounds of a jazz band in a café courtyard, this hotel puts guests right amidst all the action of the Big Easy.
