The hotel is walking distance from Bourbon Street, is located along the Mardi Gras parade route, and only a few blocks away from the French Quarter. The Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles was restored in 2007 and renovated in 2014. The original chandeliers, marble floors, and marble walls are still intact, making for a beautiful and historic sight.

The food in New Orleans is a must-try, and the Luke restaurant at the hotel is no exception. It has a lively atmosphere, curated wine list, and specialty cocktails. There is a raw bar and a Creole-inspired menu that is wonderful for tasting what the city has to offer. Luke is led under the direction of Chef Erick Loos. Classic Creole dishes to try include the shrimp and grits, gumbo soup, and boudin sausage. Crawfish boils are offered when in season.
Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue is able to accommodate the needs for larger events like business conferences, weddings, and family reunions. There is over 10,000 square feet of indoor event space.
