Kitchen staff wonderful also housekeeper very pleasant. Location was in good area. Bed very comfortable.
T.V. in room did not work. Girl at front desk could care the least. Was to occupied with wedding group in home. Shower had mold. Needs to be replaced tub liner (plastic). Sink rusted.
This place has a great historic feel. The house is beautiful and the staff were friendly. We didn't eat breakfast, but it looked and smelled delicious. The location is an easy uber ride from the French Quarter and we walked home one night. The staff put roses in the room, with a personal note from me, for my wife, which was a very nice option.
We were a bit disappointed that the house hasn't been better maintained. For such a beautiful and historic building, I would have expected the cracks in the plaster and etc to be repaired, as needed. For a couple hundred dollars and a day or two of work, the room we stayed in could be like new again, but as it is, it just seems run down and not cared-for. It wasn't dirty enough to be uncomfortable, but almost. We just felt the house deserved more. I won't say we wouldn't stay here again, but we would probably do a bit more looking around first.
Nightmare, they kept us waiting for 1;30h outside with a baby at 9pm because they didn't have our keys ready, it took 1h to have someone answering our call as none was at reception. useless management, unresponsive, didn't gave us the room we booked and despite the awful first night, still not responsive the second night: none from management came to speak or explained what happened. We were unable at 9;15 in the morning, 1:15 pm or afternoon to find anyone in reception
The room was small, the floor in the bathroom had broken marbles moving around that our kid will pick up and try to put in his mouth. We didn't have the crib we requested, the fan wasn't working. The aircon was extremely loud and the bathroom. The tap for the sink was rotten, the towels so used you could see through
We had a suite with 2 bedrooms so my adult daughter had privacy. Breakfast was great and Sharon was terrific. She seemed to be the only one who helped us with anything. It Is in a good location right outside the French Quarter and there was a bus outside that connected with the trolley system.
We always seemed to have to ask for what we needed, some of which is standard and should have been there before we arrived. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and we had to ask for more. We had a kitchen with minimal plates and utensils. There were 3 of us and we had one drinking glass. We were there right before Hurricane Barry. On the Wednesday, when it was raining, the bathroom ceiling started to leak. Sharon offered us another room, but it didn’t meet our needs. Dave, the property owner was there. He knew we decided to leave a day early and I asked about a refund. He said speak to Cathy. Cathy wasn’t there yet because New Orleans streets were flooded. I have called 3 times. The first time was Wednesday afternoon after we left. Spoke to Cathy who finally showed up to work. She said she would speak to Dave and call me back. No call back. I called back after the Weekend of the storm. Spoke to Cathy again. I inquired about everyone’s safety and then again asked about a refund. She said she would Text Dave and call me back. Again, no call back. I Called back again 2 days later. Left a message for Dave. I have yet to get an answer. Honestly, they don’t seem to care that we were put out at all. Management is terrible. Maybe they need the money.
Beautiful old houses - 2 of them - check in was very easy. Liked the historical connection to Edgar Degas. The breakfast was very good with very nice orange juice.
We had a third floor room - very far to lug suitcases with no elevator. The room had no windows and the temperature of the room was very hot right under the roof - essentially the attic of the house. The air conditioning unit wasn’t working as it should and was very noisy. The staff provided us with a fan (thank you). The WiFi signal of the house didn’t reach the third floor - so the only access for WiFi for third floor guests was the first floor lounge - not great for planning the next day’s activities while in bed before sleep. And the price point on this room was expensive in the range of bed & breakfast properties. 30 minute walk to the French Quarter.
