The room was magnificent. The location was convenient yet private. All of the staff are lovely caring individuals. Overall, I found Ace Hotel New Orleans to be a charming home away from home.

The staff handled a situation poorly that led to me being kicked out of my own room permanently while still being charged for it.

Really cool hotel - typical Ace Hotel vibe! Really cool deco and ambiance in the hotel as well as in the room! It was very quiet as well which we really liked and central enough that you can walk everywhere especially the French Quarter. You also have a stop for the tram right in front of the hotel which can take you through a really nice tour of the city and neighbourhoods which are a bit more remote. The rooftop was lovely - we did not get into the pool as it was not yet really hot when we went but the view is lovely!

    Location and amenities

I get the design/style. It’s cool. But the rooms were just too dark and lacking lighting where you wanted it.

The atmosphere in the hotel is very hip, and there is an eclectic mix of furniture. The restaurants, coffee shop, bar, common spaces were all very nice and well arranged. The rooms also were very well done with a lot of space. Most importantly, it's a very short walk to the Carnival parades!

Bartenders at Alto could have been more motivated. The heated rooftop pool is fantastic, as long as you didn't have to get out of it to get drinks.

    Ace was aces

I really enjoyed the rooftop pool area and getting coffee in the great coffee shop downstairs. The hotel had a bit of a funky vibe but still a little luxurious. I enjoyed the atmosphere and it really seems they pay attention to what people are looking for on vacation

Very minor. But lighting was very poor in hallways elevators and in the room and could give a dingy feeling sometimes
