Hidden fees. Crazy expensive. Old and run down. Service staff generally bad. Drinking water undrinkable.

The stay started poorly with the first room not cleaned when checking in. After being asked to come back to the front desk, I was walked to another room. That wasn’t cleaned/ready yet. We returned to the front desk where I was left standing around for thirty minutes. I was then told a bellman would bring our things from the original room to the new room (which was the second one). For the two hours this took we got $100 credit (which I had to ask to be credited on checkout). The staff were great and apologetic. The management never were seen or spoke to me. The resort fees are steep (~$70 per day). The property is nice but showing its age. We were especially sad that the pools and beach closed at 5:00. We enjoy swimming in the evening and the night is especially gorgeous here. We would go back to the Bahamas again, however we would likely research additional options for our accommodation.

Pros:The staff are very helpful, kind, courteous. A senior couple, we needed a fridge for our meds and there was no extra charge. The breakfast buffet in Royal Towers near the Dig was superb...pricey, but Superb. Excellent maid service, early and efficient. The library is an excellent addition.
Cons:Water view was just rooftops of the Barbeque Restaurant, a wilted palm tree, and a stagnant pool of stingrays and tortoises...ocean is visible only in the distance by leaning over the balcony. Too many taxes and extra fees. No screens on patio doors. Loud bathroom fan that must be on whenever the light is on.

Pros:1. The staff is out of this world....Love the people. 2. The other facilities and amenities.
Cons:1. TV didn't work and was never fixed or replaced over a 3 day stay. 2. Room smelled (moldy) and yes I know it's the Bahamas. 3. Bathroom switch shorted out and all the power was gone....getting from the shower and dressed to call engineering was a trip. 4. Place is aged 5. We were greeted with left over cleaning stuff (I hope) in the toilet...made the smell worse.

Pros:Everything about the Atlantis was great.
Cons:How expensive everything was. We ate at the Buffett style restaurant and it was close to two hundred dollars for the wife and I. It was 100 for the two of us just for breakfast. It was worth it. Just make sure you budget at least a grand for food and beverages like we did for our 5 night stay.

Pros:Water park was great (slides, pool, beach), the aquarium was really cool. The food was generally good.
Cons:EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED. Service is terrible. They didn't come to clean our room for 2 days (after we complained), TV was static, mini bar empty and fridge wasn't even connected. Tip is included in everything so they don't really care about customer service. No one knows anything there. They're just there to rip you off. They kick you out of the pools before they're even supposed to close. There's practically no late dining options, everything closes at 10pm. This place is for families, there isn't any night life. Everything is dead outside by 8pm. We made the best out of it and still had fun but will not be coming back here again. I expected a lot better for the money we paid.

Pros:I liked the fact that they had everything there, casino, clubs, food. The service was good, they treat you well ( the men treat you better than most women) .Some men who work there are so nice they call you princess.
Cons:The bathroom was making a weird sound when we first arrived, itt took them a day to fix it. That noise didn't let me sleep well for a day.. Also the food is overpriced and not that great for the price

Pros:The whole setup. Great place to vacation. Room had a wonderful view. Beaches were nice and clean. Rapid water ride was really fun for all ages. Aquarium was really nice and beautfully done. CThe entire staff was very polite and helpful.
Cons:On the down side. Food was very expensive. Not much night life. Casino machines were far to tight, so not fun to play.
