Quiet, peaceful place to stay in the middle of such a big busy city.
Not really a whole lot...
When you first get there, you have to go down a flight of stairs just to get to the elevator. Then when you get to your floor, you have to go up another flight of stairs just to get to the rooms. We knew the hotel did not have air conditioning but considering it was a bit cooler when we stayed, we figured it would be fine just having the windows open - false. We had a “city” view room (which was more the view of Munich’s ugliest and dirtiest street with one of the loudest cafes in the city - open until 1am). We couldn’t have the windows open as the noise from the street was far too loud all night long. The location is average, it’s not close enough to the train station to make the 25 minute walk into the actual city centre worth it. There was also a really strange smell when you walked into the hotel and through the elevator area and slightly upstairs (luckily not so much the rooms). Also, one morning the cleaning service came by and just opened our door without knocking! Also after our first night, when they cleaned our room the next morning they took our big blanket and replaced one of our individual blankets with a sheet... don’t really know what happened there.
The room was clean and tidy.
Stair only access to room (difficult lugging suitcases up flights of stairs). Room small. We stayed during July which was warm and there was no air conditioning or fans provided in the room.
The stuff was unkind , careless expect one lady at the reseption desk. There is no coffee or tea in the rooms in the 4stars hotel. The coffemaskin did not work one day and the stuff did not realised that they should make a normal coffee or warm up water at the breakfast. The elevator did not work 2 days. Our room saw to the road, was very noisy. If I closed the windows was warm inside. The kitchen lady came to work, did not change work clothes not washed hands and started to take off the foils from the plates/food plates. There was not king size linen on the king size bed. They covered the bed with 2 linens in a 4stars linen. This hotel is far from a 4stars hotel, maximum 2 stars.
Great location, near to hbf
