Good location near centre, clean rooms and nice Th
Pros: Location wise it was perfect for me. Tram station is right in front and you can easily access any part of the city. If you like walking then Central station and Bourke mall and centre is reachable within 15 to 20 minutes walk. Lygon street is also walking distance where you have plenty of really nice Italian restaurants. The hotel itself has an authentic Thai restaurant. Overall a good stay in this hotel.
Staff was also amazing, especially there was a person in night Shift, Dean, he was really amazing. I am not an Ibis fan when it comes service, but this guy was really awesome. Ibis needs more of such people. Other staff were pretty cold and robotic but thats what I expect from any Ibis in any country.
Cons: Rooms are small. No closets, Iron and Ironing board is not provided in the room, you have to go down to the Laundry room to iron your cloths. Feels pretty awkward. If you don't have to spend some much time in the hotel, its perfect for you, you don't want to spend much time in the room except for sleeping.
But I must say that it was one of the good Ibis hotels I have stayed and it did exceed my expectation. I would stay here again since it serves my purpose at a good price.
Pros: Great accommodations! Clean, functional, and pleasantly modern.
Cons: Our reservation through Kayak included a toiletry kit and wifi, but be aware that reservations in general at this hotel don't automatically include them.
Pros: The staff at reception , a Filipino lady . She's kind , warm , soft-spoken , and very helpful. I would like to compliment her for doing a very good job.She had such a pleasant personality , I would steal her off you guys if I have my own hotel.
Cons: Free internet was available only for the first 24 hours ( or was it 12?)
I hated my room , and the fact that I was not given a choice with regards to what my view would have been . My view was " the garden" which was more like facing another room. Therefore, I could not draw the curtain very much.
Aircond was a bit funny too . The coolest temperature was 23 celsius, so I occasionally sweated it out in the room. Not cool.
Great staff. Very dirty rooms
Pros: Staff. Good pressure on the shower
Cons: Stayed on two separate occasions. I’m one room the aircon stopped working. Both rooms were very dirty, all covered in dust. Pillows were poor
Happy I didn’t pay full price.
Pros: Cleanliness and location.
Cons: Glass bathroom door which made horrible clunking sound (bad privacy). Only given one swipe card for two people. shower took ages to get hot. Need double glazed windows as traffic was easily audible. All minor things.
