The staff was very friendly, the rooms were lovely decorated and very clean, breakfast was amazing (especially the Moroccan pancakes on Saturday) and the riad is conveniently located in-between Gueliz (the new city) and the souks/Djemaa el Fna (the old city). It's also less than 50m from one of the city gates.
The area surrounding the riad is poor, so it might not be the best location for single female travelers. The main square (Djemaa el Fna) is a 15 minute walk, so if you only want to visit the square you might be able to find a riad closer to the square.
the owners of the riad are most friendly and helpful, they try to make your stay as pleasant as possible and can answer all your questions. the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, as are the bathrooms. breakfast is great!
it's a 20 minute walk to the El-Fna square, through non-touristic areas, which might feel a bit uncomfortable at night. Not recommended for women alone, but fine when you're travelling with a man (or take a taxi).
The atmosphere was both homely and exotic. Small and cosy!
Very welcoming and very peaceful amidst the noise of the city. Helpful staff
Nothing I didn't like
This Riad is very romantic. Our room (green room) was huge, with a huge bed and nice bathroom. It is decorated with Arabic stuff and the staff speak English, German and French. The Riad is 20 minutes on foot from the main square of Marrakesh. The walk is pleasant. You walk along narrow streets with many shops and mosques.
There are no bad points but remember to contact the owner by email or by phone to meet him before and take you to the Riad because even if Marco Polo or Galileo Galilei were alive and had today's technology, still they would not find it!!! It is hidden in the narrow streets of the Medina which is full of kids running, people hassling you to give them money and crazy motorcycle drivers. Once you find it is easy to get along but the first time is megadifficult.
The staff was great. Always trying to make us feel like home and we did. The breakfast was amazing, the decorattion... Everything was excellent.
Beautiful, relaxing place to stay. Staff very helpful, courteous and hospitable.
This Riad is towards the north west of the medina close to the medina wall. Its location was initially difficult to find but fine once oriented. It is a small riad, rooms face into a patio garden+rooftop terrace with sun loungers. However because there are only 4 guest rooms you feel welcomed as an individual in a homely atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated in authentic Moroccan styles. The "Blue" themed room was spacious for two with a large tiled on suite bathroom. Plus points - free wifi, laptop for guests to check emails, Breakfast + Morrocan mint tea anytime included, dinner at 200 DH a head for any menu just ask they purchase local ingredients on the day, highly recommended.
If a transfer from the airport on arrival could be made I would do it. Payment is in cash euro or Dirum, electronic would be easier.
It's a very beautiful riad to stay, the staff is very kind, the rooms are very nice and cleany. There is a wi-fi connection in all the place and the terrace is gorgeous. It's in the centre of ancient marrakech near at big parking taxi. it's recommended.
The Riad is at the edge of the very confusing Medina: heading for the edge, one always found the hotel! Breakfast in a cool 2-storey high room, nicely decorated. In addition there is a large terrace on the roof.
Located in Medina, this riad is within 1 mi (2 km) of Place Bab Doukkala, Jamaa el Fna, and Ben Youssef Mosque. Almoravid Koubba and Marrakesh Museum are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Policies vary by room type and provider.
