The riad was beautiful and the riad Manager was very kind and accommodating.
Due to great reviews at Riad Al Riad, I booked a room for 4 nights for a trip months down the line. When I arrived, the riad manager explained to me that I can only stay 2 nights and then they will have to move me to another riad because a large group is coming. This was a surprise to me and extreme inconvenience because I have been traveling for weeks and do not want to pack up and go again. They chose the large group over me which was unfair. On top of that, they didn’t even tell me until I arrived. I am unfamiliar with Marrakech so for someone to tell me to take my stuff and go find another riad is scary. What they should’ve done is tell me in advanced so I can cancel and book another place for 4 nights straight. It was an uncomfortable experience and the language barrier made it more difficult. In the end, I did go out to see the other riad (12 min walk btw) in a location I did not like but I had no choice. The new riad was ok and the new manager was very kind and accommodating. My experience there was better. Overall I will not go to riad al warda again. For the awful inconvenience, I asked for the 2 nights free but they said no. They did give me free airport transport but that wasn’t even worth what they had done to me. I know it was not the riad’s manager fault since he is just the messenger. But his manager who wasn’t there had done all this to me.
The Riad is absolutely beautiful - everything we could have wished for and very true to the complimentary feedback that persuaded us to stay there. The decor and atmosphere are traditional and very warming. Best of all though are the Riad's staff - in particular Valeria who was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She takes a great pride in the Riad and is very well-organised in tending to all her guests' needs/requirements. I can wholeheartedly recommend this Riad - and just hope that there is a room available for me when I next come to stay!
Nice and friendly staff. Valeria has been very helpful trying to make everything smooth and easy. Clean and cozy room.
The room door needs a little maintenance....impossible to lock from the inside. In the bathroom the lack of an electric plug and a light over the mirror on the sink is rather uncomfortable.
Staff very welcoming and helpful. Very convenient location. A very enjoyable experience.
I thought the breakfast was very good.
