Very welcoming staff and owner, friendly atmosphere.
The location: gloomy, noisy, unpleasant area in the northern part of the city. The riad is located in a very small alleyway and is difficult to find even after a couple of days staying there.
We arrived late and were greeted at the airport by a driver and our diner was waiting for us at the riad. Staff were helpful and friendly, although limited english, we got by just fine. Felt safe and secure in the riad and outside.
A bit out of the way, but taxis available. I could easily get lost and not find the riad in the maze of streets outside
Very charming and comfortable. Spectacular personal , they really made our staying very pleasurable. About 15 m walk to the Souk. The taxi from the airport costs approximately 150 dirhams (negotiable) and you still have to walk a little trough some narrow streets.
The airport pick up is worth it. Very friendly and helpful staff, someone was always available. While a bit out of the way, felt very safe walking to and from it, night or day.
Approchability of the staff, and overall standard of thr riad.
Friendly staff always ready to help.
Location is around 20 mins walk to main attractions. situation in the middle of a few narrow streets, impossible to find with a map. a couple of times we got followed by local tramps who wouldn't leave us alone until we gave them a few dirhams and the same happen to various other guest staying on same dates.
Small and friendly with excellent staff and a homely atmosphere. An authentic riad which turned out to be a little oasis of peace and calm. The owner and staff were very helpful and arranged day trips out, taxis etc. Breakfasts were very good, rooms clean and water hot, who could ask for more? The area was not at all touristy and gave a glimpse into real Marrakesh which is friendly but not sanitised.
Initally difficult to find so would recommend taking the airport pick up option. It is alittle out of the centre but all the local taxis were happy to take you to and from Bab Tagzoute and if you are happy to walk it only took my 73 yr old mother 35 mins to walk to the square (I managed it in 20 mins or 2 hrs depending if you go through the souks!)
Definately get a meal at the riad - it is reasonable priced, a beautiful setting and very tasty! The whole riad is beautiful and so peaceful compared to the hustle and noise of Marrakesh.
It is a hard riad to find, but owners give you lots of information and maps etc. to help you find your way.
Staff was very attentive and available. very comfortable, and charmingly eclectic feel to the place.
The hotel was excellent and very friendly once we got inside. but it was extremely hard to find, and quite frightening having to go on foot down all the little lanes, as we were 2 women traveling alone.and we had quite an intimidating experience with local youths showing us the way and then demanding more money then we gave.
