7.1 Good
Pros: The layout, gardens and onsite facilities at the resort are great (and very clean). Although it was fully booked, we never had the sense that it was overcrowded. We had dinner one evening at the Sunset restaurant which was lovely and we would recommend. We left feeling more rested than when we arrived, which is mission accomplished!
Cons: Ikaros Beach Resort is marketed as a 5 star hotel and whilst it is lovely, there are little things that fall short of a 5 star experience. A couple of examples; not replenishing the toiletries when they'd run out, the mattress was quite thin and not particularly comfortable and despite being a recently renovated room, it was starting to show signs and wear and tear, so we didn't get the sense that they are maintaining the fixtures and furnishings. As a couple, we were 'upgraded' a family room which turned out to have more space but was far outdated compared with the photos shown on the website. We asked to be moved to a bungalow, per our booking and reception very kindly moved us. I don't want to be unfair to the hotel, because overall we had a lovely stay, but it fell short of the 5 star experience it's marketed as.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service and facilities and breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful too
Cons: Pool area needs a menu for drinks and snacks not just at the bar. Would make people want to get more drinks and food if the menu was around the sun loungers Perhaps staff could aslo ask if we wanted anything while sunbathing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Would definitely rate this high in terms of a family friendly resort. The facilities there was stunning, attention the essential needs in every aspect for a visiting family has been given importance. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Of the hotels and resorts I have visited, this certainly stands out in terms of the restaurant.. usually it will be more or less the same of kind of food every day.. however not the case here. We only choose the option of bread & breakfast, but occasionally tried the main restaurants during the dinner - the food was awesome with a wide range of options and varieties every day. There are also couple of private dining restaurants at the hotel which we didn't try. The hotel also has a number of swimming pools for both children and adults.
Cons: The weather was a bit of let down although it was early summer, but nothing to do with the hotel. We booked a suite with a private pool, however didn't realise that the pool was smaller than shown in the photo whilst booking.
7.5 Good
Pros: The food was really good , the location is very nice
Cons: The photos on booking is not matching the reality , the staff in the reception were not nice and not eager to help
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the facilities of the resort, especially the pool areas and beach
Cons: Having to leaves
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good facilities. Areas for kids and also for adults only.
Cons: Poor food options for vegans.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly staffs, personalised services, beautiful and super clean resort, food, music, beach, quietness, swimming pools, water slices, kid clubs, spa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very laid back. Once you are in, you feel you are home. No one actually bothers you and very helpful if you ask them.
Cons: The house cleaning rooms were right next to mine. They were making noises every morning and disturbed my sleep. But, they did a very good job of cleaning and no complaints.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A good location, good facilities, excellent food. Not too many people as end of season. The beaches , warm sea and sun loungers were great. The bar staff were friendly and cheerful but not always too prompt.
Cons: Disappointed that there was no tennis coaching available despite taking my booking for a lesson! One outdoor pool was very cold! A towel outside our door to soak up the water from the wall was annoying.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, polite and nice specially María from the main restaurant, Marzena from the bar, and Erika and Leonil from the Lefko restaurant! Bangaloo with sea view was just perfect located, where I could see the sun rise and set, and few steps from the relaxing pool for adults only (that was calm and really relaxing)! Room was very clean and nice decorated! Breakfast was very good and also the food in the main restaurant and Lefko Restaurant, where I had 3 times dinner because I loved the food!
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Staff was really nice and helpful. Beautiful modern room with comfortable bed and great shower. Drossia restaurant nearby is highly recommended. Nice facilities.shower
Cons: Screen door was difficult to open. The day was really windy when we were there so beach access was difficult. A nice sandy beach called Potamos was just a couple kilometres away. Stay away from the sea tavern.

Pros: Very nice and perfectly clean modern room with amazing seaview. In town there are quite a lot of party people, but the location of the hotel is quiet and relaxed. Nice beach where you hardly see any other people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a deluxe suite 303 (I think) and it was a fabulous hotel room, the layout of the room was great and we loved the many windows and balcony. And little things like providing a beach bag to take towels (beach towels provided) down to the beach/pool
Cons: I couldn't stay longer

Pros: Very nice location next to the sea. Swimming pool with pool bar.

7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice pool bar and swimming pool and nice sea view. Also they provided a beach town in the room that was nice.
Cons: A little dirty, bathroom was very small and shower was even smaller - very tight fit and I’m a skinny guy. Bathroom needs improvement. Also there is a unfinished building that’s an eyesore. Bathroom under swimming pool smells very bad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great!

Pros: We took the room with a panoramic veiw and it was incredible
Cons: Evrey thing was very good!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good value for money, the hotel is in the heart of the resort, great location, with a lot of restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly, the room had a lovely view of the pool and it was very clean. We had the breakfast and it was delicious, many different options and nice setting with the restaurant near the pool and surrounded by palm trees.
Cons: If I were to suggest improvement on something, it would be for the bathroom, compared to the room it looks a bit old. However I would not even consider this an inconvenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel in Malia very nice place to stay. Everything was perfect the staff very kindly and avaliable to every request. Highly recommended the restaurant with local fresh food. Hope to come back again. Best holiday ever
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All!!!!
Cons: nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: Reasonable space, perfectly pleasant hotel. Reasonable proximity to the Palace of Malia, which was the main reason for our one night stay.
Cons: The location - it was very much in the heart of a very British tourist area. We go on holiday to experience the local culture, but everything in the immediate vicinity of the hotel was very geared to British tourists - Red Lion and Molly Malone's across the road, Saltire Lounge a little further away. Old town was around 1km away and had restaurants more to our taste.
6.0 Good
Pros: Palm suite was nice
Cons: room was not finished at check in time - personell arrogant - no phone in the room

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent in service. Fantastic location. Good facilities.
Cons: The rooms have different standards, only a few of them are real 5 stars.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived, since we missed one dinner, (that we had paid for) they gave us a voucher for a lunch. We also had complementary fruit basket, bottle of wine, small bottle of Ouzo, and some greek sweets which I think it was really nice, they also gave us a complementary 15min massage which we upgraded to a 1hr deep tissue. I have no comnplaints, the masseuse was professional, and I liked it overall. The breakfast was very varied, as was the dinner. Every night there was something different, and the dessert table is more than anyone needs. The vibe of the resort is pretty chilled, a lot of older couples, or young couples with children, I think since we went the first week of september, it was pretty quiet. There was ALWAYS space around the pool or at the beach, no need to wake up early to get a sunbed. We went to the beach a many at different times of the day and we always found a place, and I never saw the sunbeds around the pools full. The staff is amazing, they are all so polite, and caring, you can tell they love what they do, and all of them or at least all of them I ran into speak German, I was quite impressed. It's true what I read on others reviews, that you need to book a table for dinner when you get there for the rest of your stay and you need to pick whether you want the early dinner (18:15 - 20:00) or the late (20:15 - 21:30) but I don't see it as a bad thing. For me you always have a place to sit. Be warned, older people will be at 20:10 outside waiting so I wouldn't go exactly at 20:15 or else it feels to crowded. The location is great, if you walk outside you'll run into restaunrants, souvenir shops, and mini markets!
Cons: This is more a feedback rather than negative things: I think given the type of resort, and what you are paying, I didn't like the fact that the drinks for dinner were not included in the price. I think at least soft drinks, and house wines should be included and not be paid extra. Also went I left, I has handed the bill for the dirnks I had, and it was all in greek, for all I knew they could have been charging me for something and I didn't know. The water in the shower, for some reason, will switch from cold to warm unexpectedly while I was showering, which makes it a bit uncomfortable. Finally, the water from the pool was way colder than the sea, which made me jump right out and back to the ocean.
6.3 Good
Pros: The Sea is beautiful .
Cons: The stuff was rude and we didn't like the absence of kids service. The kids club was old, there was no toys, the person was watching TV and was not playing with the kids. We choose this hotel because it was marked "kids friendly" , but it is not.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: It's not close to Malia (8 euro by taxi) and Malia itself is pretty boring. However, since you never have to leave the resort, it was an excellent vacation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kid's play area was very nice, very suitable for family with young children. Mini disco at every night was one of the best activities for my 3 years old girl.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting; lovely pool areas with plenty of sun beds; excellent buffet breakfast; spacious, clean, well-equipped room with nice touches such as complimentary wine & fruit on arrival; easy access to lovely beach; perfect location for the bars and restaurants in town. An all-round excellent hotel!
Cons: Our room did not have a sofa or easy chairs, although there was a balcony area with chairs. Balcony area was nice but we did not have much of a view. Spa treatment prices seemed expensive, although we were given a complimentary 15-min massage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful beach side resort with beautiful gardens. Excellent location. Friendly and professional staff. Very clean. Clear water, sandy beaches.
Cons: Poor choice of fruit selection at breakfast, but for dinner everything - watermelon, ananas, sweet melon etc. So why dont just put it for breakfast as well? Dinner is served in two sittings, eary dinner from 6 pm till 8 pm and late dinner from 8.15pm till 10 pm. However during the late sitting the staff starts to take away the food from the buffet at 9.30 already! So if you are late for dinner and come for example at 9 pm you are very likley to miss out on the selectin of food because they take everything away to early. This happend to us several times because we had whole day trips and came back late to the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: There is no WiFi connection in the rooms
9.2 Excellent
Pros: great location, enjoyed a lot tennis courts and pool. the sea is very clean. personnel kind and available. Thanks again for wine and sweets!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I would recommend it to anyone! Its a lovely location with a really nice and great beach. I think the staff adds great value to the hotel. The receptionists, the booking department, all to the cleaning ladies were so kind and helpful. When we walked to the dining hall the guy who drives a golf cart (with luggages and arriving or departing guests) just stopped because of our six year old daughter was in awe with his vehicle. He gestured hop in, then drove us to the main building much to her delight. It such a small gesture, but it shows that HOW they operate. They helped with all our mundane problems with care and kind attitude. We have gotten an upgrade when we arrived, a better room, because they had it free “so why not”. We had a junior suit with seaview and a little garden and our own palmtree. We just loved it. Our room was freshly renovated and spacious. The food.. so much to choose from, tasty and fresh. We dont have one bad thing or complaint to say about Alexander Beach Hotel, and we are considering to go back next year. It is an amazing place to have a nice holiday.
Cretan Malia Park - Mália - Building

9.1 Excellent (880 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Cretan Malia Park is a distinguished hotel situated in a peaceful location on the north coast of Crete. The activities and nightlife in Malia as well as the archeological site with the famous Minoan Palace are in walking distance. One of the unique characteristics of this hotel is its river pool-complete with an artificial beach meandering amongst the garden bungalows. Mature palm trees, laws and colorful gardens adjoin a sandy beach, surround the main building and bungalows. The Cretan Malia Park has plenty to offer for families, couples, or single travelers and its central location on the island makes it an ideal starting point for those wishing to explore the island. From the moment you encounter the 35 palm trees that frame the entrance to Cretan Malia Park, you know that youve entered one of the romantic hideaways in Greece. The style is refined, the pace casual: Wrap yourself in cool cottons and the finest linens, lose yourself in the award-winning gardens, and enjoy the exceptional cuisine. Discreet service, luxurious accommodation, two placid private beaches, and spectacular scenery conspire to create an unforgettable holiday.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good breakfast options, ok diner, nice welcome basket
Cons: All staff initiate conversation in German and some activities are clearly themed on Germany, overall facilities are slightly dirty (incl. rooms (kettle), restaurant (dust, fat on shelf), pathways and pools)
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast Cretan restaurant
Cons: Small room Cleaning
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming staff, great facilities, nice rooms (comfy beds and great bathroom), rich varied menu (cretan food corner is especially delicious), beautiful green relax area on the beach. We had a wonderful relaxing stay.
Cons: We didn’t see life guards on the beach during the week of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: ...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: I expected The reception to have more info about the area and the activities
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great nice place. Location of Crete was not amazing outside of the property was an area that was kinda like a run down area that was super touristy. Kinda like being in Tijuana. Beautiful property and nice beach. Good to stay and also explore but must have a car rental
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Decoration of main lobby, restaurants, bars, nice planting of plants,flowers... Food, organic garden...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very nice with a nice lobby and good communal areas. The rooms are of a good size, clean and include all the amenities you would expect. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming and to a tee were very accommodating. The buffet food for breakfast and dinner was fantastic with a large selection of different foods. The Cretan restaurant is also worth visiting at least once to try local cuisine. Definitely download the app upon arrival, a nice feature is that the beach beds are each numbered and you can order drinks via the app to be delivered to your spot. All dinner reservations at each restaurant can be made via the app. The beach is very nice and there is plenty of room so it never felt like a huge rush to get a sun bed each day. The sea is very clean here, water is very clear with only minimal seaweed. The layout of the hotel is fantastic and even though they were fully booked it never feels crowded.
Cons: It is a little isolated which could be an issue depending on what you are looking for, but it is only a 20 minute walk to Malia. The all inclusive rules are a little strange... I expect for example that only certain drinks are included and not every type of lager spirit etc, this is normal in most places, however what is strange at this hotel is that this is not consistent throughout each bar or restaurant, e.g drinks that are free in the main lobby are different to those that are free at the beach bar. Also some of the food is not included either. e.g at the Italian restaurant it’s reasonable to expect to pay a supplement for steak etc but to get snacks from the beach bar in my opinion is not expected. It’s worth pointing this out as it is just confusing sometimes and a little unnecessary it should at least be consistent bar to bar. Whilst the food generally was great I was very disappointed with the Italian restaurant, I ordered the meatballs which were raw in the middle and had to be sent back. (In fairness without any fuss or issue) the BBQ near the main building again meat not properly cooked on the kebabs and were raw in the middle. Just be careful and check the food that has come from the grill, I am aware that mistakes happen especially when cooking at scale in a hotel or restaurant but raw meat is never a good thing, these were two isolated incidents though and I want to be clear that In general the food was very good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had a great atmosphere - very relaxed. We liked the décor. The swimming pools were lovely and so was the beach. The food was very good. Our children loved the ice-creams and crepes at The Crush. we really enjoyed having a cocktail at the Beach Shack. My massage at the Spa was wonderful.
Cons: We were on an all-inclusive plan which meant that, although most food and drink items were included, some were only available at an additional cost. This made it a bit complicated. The evening entertainment was a bit dull.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding experience! It was our first time taking vacations on Crete and our only expectation was to rest. Thanks to Cretan Malia Park hotel our 12 days were fabulous. Starting with the worm welcome, everything what followed was perfect. The service, the stuff all over the place, the room and room service, the additional activities offered by the hotel, like cooking lessons, vine testing, Cretan dinner,... Very special and outstanding heartfull feeling creates Cretan Restaurant Mouries, the place itself, the perfect Cretan food mainly prepared by hotel main chef and kind and perfect cooking staff, and even more the young and sincere restaurant manager. Knowing and feeling the guests wishes and desires. Outstanding experience!! We would like to kindly congratulate the Management of the hotel to be present practically all over the day on all places. It was our first time that hotel General Manager and the hotel Management serve to hotel guests’ dinner, to show us their respect. Really perfect and worm feeling, that on every step somebody is taking care for you. We would like to highly recommend the hotel and for sure we will do that again. We had a perfect vacations. Thank you!
Cons: Of course we tried also a new Italian restaurant. It tries to be fancier with ambitious manager, but except the location and food itself, the impression that the restaurant leaves is rather poor. We try three times, firstly also to celebrate daughter birthday, but we never catch the staff on right leg. Last dinner we finished beside the fish refrigerator, no matter if other better tables were free all the evening. So our suggestion to the young manager would be to learn from the Mauries place. At such a beautiful place it is really not a question to have food to survive, we, as a hotel guests, want to experience a nice dinner time close to the beach, without unsuccessful fight for a better table in the restaurant… But, newer the less, we build up the impression taking the last desert at the Mauries, outstanding and heartfull and unforgettable again.

Pros: Nice location, very tasty dinners
Cons: The stairs in the villa private pool were to short for a child or elderly person to use the pool, lack of expresso machine at breakfast, overall average breakfasts, lack of kitchenware in the villa’s kitchen
7.1 Good
Pros: The view is wonderful.
Cons: The staff could do better, the breakfast wasn’t what would I expect from 5 star hotel... And most of all if you are there in low season with a baby, the pool is not heated! 5 star hotel???
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet location away from the tourist chaos below in Malia. Hotel is 10 years old and in good condition, especially pool area. Staff were nice and relaxed.
Cons: Pool party on Sundays for locals, guests seem second to the locals.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Peace and quiet and the views are fantastic. Reception staff lovely.
Cons: Not very clean, very tired furniture in the bar area, bar staff quite rude, very dirty around the eating areas, broken furniture, rooms dated and quite dirty. Beds in rooms need updating and the bathroom mirrors were pealing, no overhead shower. Really disappointed as my last stay was amazing 4 years ago. Needs a full clean & overhaul definitely not 5* It’s a shame as this was once a gorgeous hotel.

Pros: Beautiful seaview, nice hotel, very friendly staff, great food, excellent service. Weather is just perfect in end of September, sea tempreture is also good. I was feeling totally relaxed all the time.

Pros: The food was exceptional and served by the wonderful Stella and Costas. The view and the pool area were beautiful with comfortable sunbeds and excellent bar service. The room was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The greeting was warm and nothing was too much trouble. The setting was outstanding it felt like a home from home. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness of the rooms and general layout of the hotel was very good. Staff were very friendly and offered a good level of service. The location for us was ideal, situated on the beach but within walking distances of restaurants and bars. The old town was a great discovery but was a good 20 minute walk.
Cons: The resort itself was looking a little run down around the main strip area and the 'bright lights' aren't really to our liking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect, the staff were always ready to the help, Costa, Nikos are to great guys work extremely hard to make sure you have a great and relaxing time. Then there is Stella who works from 3pm to midnight looking after the bar, she is a beautiful person and always finds time to talk to you, well she did for me anyway. Overall the whole experience was relaxing and amazing. I will definitely be going back.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: When a place is managed with the heath everything is different, in fact the place was good for families. It has a green, a pool perfect for kids, a pool bar where you can find everything. My daughter had a lot of fun The owner of the hotel is also the owner of a farm and the Resturant drossia where we had 2 fantastic Greek dinners. In the hotel he give for free vegetables from the farm, this is a plus!
Cons: Beach in front of the hotel is small but you can use the one aside from the other hotel. Room shape is strange, there is a wall to split the bedroom from the rest of the room that make the room smaller than it is. I suggest to remove it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting by the beach where you can sunbath in the lounge chairs and swim all day, wonderful staffs who are superb friendly and warm, very comfortable bed. Don’t forget to try the restaurant Drossia which is the best- amazing food, beautiful setting and hospitality like no where else.
Cons: WiFi is a bit slow. But if you don’t need to work or send big file it’s no problem .
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is nice, right next to the beach. The apartment was large, facing the see, with a huge balcony - it was a pleasant place during the morning / evening to relax and gaze to the see. Also good restaurants and supermarkets are in the in 5 minutes walking range.
Cons: Maybe the place had its glory days 10-15 years ago, but now it is a bit rusty and shabby....disappointing. It is obvious that there was no real maintenance or upgrade done to the place in the last years. There were no toiletries, beside the small soap pieces, around 80% of the towels had holes in them, the AC units were really old and had no doors anymore (just a a huge hole blowing cold air), the dish-washing machine was broken, no detergent in the kitchen and the delivery of hot water had gaps. Also the room had a huge sliding door to the balcony, but it was broken and actually screwed to the frame. The apartment had a separate bedroom, but this was really small - one double bad and half a meter around it, just to walk, nothing more. Heads up for families with small kids - even if the property has its own slice of beach with sand and umbrellas, it is a bit dangerous as the beach is in terraces, above the rocky see line. Considering the high price and the 4 stars, I would definitely expect more.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. In front of seaside, with swimming-pool, lot of tavernas and supermarket around 100-200 mt, ATM, shops, if you are travelling with children is perfect.
Cons: We use to travel in Grece since long. We have seen lot of beautiful places very wild, authentic with few structure around, it was a time when we didn't have children:) the place and location is great but a bit too commercial/touristic, but as I said, now we need different facilities :)

6.7 Good
Pros: A spacious apartment in a quiet part of Malia.
Cons: Well, where to start ... while booking this hotel expectations were high due to other reviews and lovely pics. We arrived in the evening and met the host at the pool bar with noisy music. Luckily the music wasn't heard in the room, though the host responded bit arrogant while when we shared our concern that the music may be bit too loud. Not the best start of the stay. The room ... the hotel looks very nice, one could say luxurious from the outside, but what a surprise once you enter the room. There is a spacious room with kitchenette, table with chairs and two beds. The table was rather small for 4 persons and felt IKEA like (nothing against IKEA, but not matching the price level / expectation), the kitchenette and the silver/cooking-ware felt shabby, just a few (too little) sockets to charge all the electronic toys yourself and kids carry along these days. Another surprise was caused by the A/C unit, it was bit noisy inside, but no issue, but the trouble at the room 210 was mainly caused by the external unit that was producing a low frequency humm preventing your sleep being perfect as you expect it while on vacation. The bathroom was not too bad, bit dark and the shower corner missed the curtain (designed curtain-less) with sloping floor to sink the water - unfortunately after taking a shower the whole bathroom was wet. Once we left the towels on the floor expecting the staff provide clean ones, what a surprise to come back and find the dirty towels laying on the floor, we were explained that they are changing towels every other day (in a hotel - seriously?) and were given clean ones. Still, should you find towels on the floor will you not change these anyway? The breakfast was kind of ok, but please note that they are serving until 10:30, so hurry up!

Pros: Great place, great staff and fantastic location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, comfortable, clean and well equipped room. Very friendly owners and polite staff, the area around the pool was nice and relaxing. breakfast good enough. we had a problem with the A/C that immediatelly fixed. i would visit it again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 2nd visit to hotel and it was as I remembered. Staff warm friendly. Location in old part of Malia with lovely tavernas in back streets so lots of surpises there. Foodwise there was something for everyone. Rooms spotless.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool. Nice room. Very comfortable mattress. Clean. Lovely atmosphere. Good Location. Very good experience. Very good value for money. My kids enjoyed it a lot. We had very good time there.
Cons: Breakfast is OK. Don't expect anything super. It is good but not excellent. Rooms look OK but not 100% like in the picture.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place we stayed at was modern and contemporary which was nice and the lighting in the room was really nice. The view outside of our room was just of mountains which was gorgeous and the breakfast was good, so much feta!
Cons: There was an issue with the shower, hot water ran out very quickly, we didn't raise this with staff though because we didn't spend much time at the hotel.

Pros: Maria will welcome you what ever time you arrive at the apartments , which are a small complex of around 40, nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds, there is also a small play park for the little people - apartments are modern & clean with a terrace all balcony. lovely pool bar, with plenty of choice of lunchtime snacks and drinks from the lovely Florin and staff - John will be on hand in the evenings in the front bar for drinks and chit chat - there is a small shop almost of site, again run by a lovely family (pricing the same as bigger supermarket) you are 5 minutes walk from the beach, either via the underpass or nip across the road

Pros: Fabulous location. Close to everything.
Cons: The shower was good but in Greece they seem not to fix them to walk. So you hold it while using but a good shower with plenty of hot water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was our second time here! We love this place for its clean white rooms and great atmosphere because of great people who work here! Apartments are brightly clean with cozy kitchen (it has cattle and coffee-machine, stove and fridge) and comfy bedroom! You can eat tasty food in the bar near the pool or on the beach lying on the comfy sunbeds! Many other restaurants and nightclubs are close to the hotel, too. The beach and sea are extremely good! Loula, Stauroula and all the team thank you! Thank you for all that you did and do for all of your guests!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is located next to a sandy shallow beach perfectly suited for kids. The pool facility is accompanied by the hotel's bar which make both very convenient to use. Rooms are cleaned daily. Friendly staff. Nice view, quiet area. Parking was alway available. Internet is good enough to watch HD video most of the time.
Cons: WiFi asks for password few time a day. It could be a device specific issue but all our (apple) devices had that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Akrogiali is a gem within malia. The hotel sits right on the water with a beautiful pool area leading onto a well kept beach. The sun beds are nicely spaced apart, amazingly comfortable and far from tacky like many other of the beach beds along the malia beach that we have walked past. The service and staff are without a doubt some of the nicest I have ever encountered, always willing to help no matter what, but also friendly and funny. The food is delicious, portion sizes are great and prices aren’t bad at all compared to anywhere else you might eat here. I, like many people that book online was skeptical about how nice the pictures were online. So many times i have been disappointed around the world. And yet here, the pictures are exactly what you get. Just as clean, just as inviting. The rooms are spacious, air conned and excellently clean. I have stayed in many places around here in Malia and this place tops them all.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although we were only staying in this accommodation for 3 nights of our trip we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The rooms although a little basic are spotlessly clean and well equipped. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great family place in good location in Malia. Friendly staff and the owner Loula has always a smile and time for a nice chat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The holidays spent herel were wonderful, the hotel, the location, the sea, the room, the room view, the meal in the beach bar - all was just great. Everything and every detail is clean and neat. The sea is crystal blue and shallow that makes it ideal for the kids. Special thanks to Loula and the team, who do all their best to make the stay in the hotel very cosy and comfortable.
Cons: I wish there were some hugs for towels in the bathroom and more shelves and drawers to keep clothes and other personal things in the room. But all that things have not spoiled the impressions of the holidays at all, just the details that could be improved
6.7 Good
Pros: -The location were very beautifull -The room was acceptable, -The cleaning was every day, very nice -Lula, the most kind and nice and very implicated person, in her job. Well done, LULA!
Cons: -The front desk service. A very irritated person with a very bad behavior.

Everything was very clean. The housekeeping staff was very efficient and there were always freshly made beds welcoming us after a long day of exploring. Thank you. Ingrid is a true treasure. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home instantly. She gave us so many great tips and suggestions. We truly felt looked after. She took the time although she had a busy schedule. The apartment is also perfectly situated in the old town of Malià. It’s only a minutes walk to the next supermarket and the Main Street leading through Malià, from where you can catch buses to Heraklion or Agios Nikolaos and other places. If you want to walk to some nice beach, listen to Ingrid, she will let you know. The pool was very clean and perfect. The pool bar offers a great selection of dishes and refreshments. Pros: The grounds of the hotel are lovely, with lots of accents and nice seating. The pool was clean and the views were lovely.
Cons: The bathroom was very small and in need of renovation; dirty grout, use of a shower curtain. The bathroom was the only let down for us.

Cons: Only the shower curtain. The shower water flush a little bit outside.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location of the Hotel and only 5 minute walk to the main strip (even though myself & my partner aren't party people). Some lovely bars and restaurants on the main road down to the strip. The hotel was so peaceful and quite and all you can hear is the waves crashing against the rocks. You get the sun all day and a beautiful sunset in the evening. Very friendly staff who helped us a lot with things to do and recommendations. Would differently stay again.
Cons: The bath room, but it wasn't a big issue how everyone makes it out to be.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to Heraklion airport but wonderful sea views and a close walk to excellent shopping. Also a very close drive to superb sand beaches and the incredible Malia Minoan palace.
Cons: No elevator if access is a problem to upper floors. There are a few units on the ground level.

Pros: Good breakfast available from the hotel café. Location was good, A large enough distance from Malia for it to have very quiet surroundings. Brilliant pool area with access to the beach. The bar staff are amazing.
Cons: We had no water for one night as the tanks were empty. Local shop was around 10-15 min walk. Not too far, but in mid summer sun it's not ideal.

Pros: The location was amazing. Fantastic views of the ocean and so quiet and peaceful. It was nice to be able to walk to the main malia strip in 10 minutes but also escape the madness when you wanted to. We enjoyed having a drink at the pool bar when we wanted a quiet night. We also rented a quad bike for 2 days and this allowed us to be in and out of malia in no time. The staff were also fantastic. They always greeted my boyfriend and I with a smile and were also very helpful when we were checking out about getting a bus to the airport. Overall, a fantastic hotel, with great views and great staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had such a fab mini break at villa monte, 3 nights in a beautiful, clean, quiet and comfy room, with beautiful views of the sea. Facilities on offer were fantastic. I loved the very deep and warm pool. There was more than enough sunbeds around the pool with extras available within the gardens. Gardens that are kept to a high standard full of blooming flowers and freshly mowed grass. The breakfast spread was top quality, offering a full continental breakfast with a option to have a english breakfast upon request. provided with sachets of tea & coffee each day for free in the room along with a full clean. The hotel itself is run by a very attentive team who without hesitation would do anything to make your stay as peaceful and enjoyable as possible. Villa monte is far enough away that you dont feel that you are in the party town of malia, about a 15 minute brisk walk into centre of town. I feel so refreshed and relaxed after visiting I will certainly be back. I reccomend this hotel to single parties and families with young to adolescent children.

Pros: the beach, some really friendly staff
Cons: some very rude staff and continuous hidden extra fee’s throughout my stay, also some of the facilities were broken in the hotel room, also the rooms were not as represened online
5.0 Okay
Pros: Some staff were really helpful and friendly
Cons: Facilities were not as advertised, the rooms were smaller and less luxurious, with a completely different layout, hot water in the shower was not present, facilities were broke and not sufficiently working such as the hairdryer, lock for the door etc some staff were very rude while also trying to make money from having a guest stay in the room which I paid for that has two separate beds and this kind of scam-like behaviour was concurrent throughout their services in the hotel, which I feel is a shame as there were some very kind staff that worked
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room and common areas are of a very good quality and very clean. Room cleaning was efficient with regular change of towels and bed linen. Personnel is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast is from Nescafe's automatic machines - both coffee and milk are from powders. Mattresses in the room are firm but you feel springs through the fabric, which makes sleep uncomfortable - we had to place blankets under sheets to make our sleep better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: great location close to the seaside, interesting architecture, wonderful garden full of fruit trees, clean rooms, very good and varied breakfast, big parking, nice swimming pool
Cons: commercial hotel without a Greek atmosphere very thin walls that pass up the sound from neighboring bathroom....

Pros: Perfect paradise away from all the hustle and bustle. Beautiful sunsets in a remote area up on a hill. The pool is fabulous and larger than I expected. Excellent food - breakfast was perfect and the staff did not rush you out to finish by taking away food too early. Superb relaxed atmosphere. The ladies in the reception are lovely and articulate and very accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay - I hope to come back.
Cons: I preferred to go to the other less busy beaches rather than Malia beach. The hotel will provide you with a map of all local beaches.
